I HOPE that MOS is great (and judging by the nokia trailer I saw recently, it will be).
I'd love to see Doomsday and Superman fighting in Metropolis, but the only way that happens is for us to get past the Lex Luthor and Zod only movies. Like, this is a reboot and Zod is in it again, but hopefully, we can see some more interesting Supes villains soon. Also, if this movie tanks that's really gonna hurt DC's chance at having their own Super Hero Team movie.
BUT, I REALLY doubt this movie will tank. I expect it to make at least $300 million domestic, probably more.

Doing some research I discovered something I kinda lost track of but the 35 day total for IM 3 is 388.5 million while the 35 day total for TDKR was 415 million! Comparing apples to apples Batman kicked Iron Man's @ss as the boxoffice without 3D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I do think MoS is going to do well at the box office though. And it looks like it could be a great movie

But what if TDKR was released China? Well it may have closed the gap between IM3 and TDKR some but you don't know for sure. It might have tanked in China in terms of numbers. It might have pushed TDKR over IM3 you don't know.
How much did 3D bolster IM3's collection so far? Would Batman still have made a lot if it was offered in 3-D would people have gone to see that movie in 3D as much as people did in IM3?

Just FYI TDKR was released in China (and did well), it was TDK that wasn't.
