There's plenty of levity and more laid back scenes with Superman. He's not cracking a lot of jokes, but he does have a few quips here and there. But no, there's no real "lol" scenes.Anyway, Man of Steel was really good. Better than Iron Man 3 and the TDKR, imho.

All I know is the Nokia trailer I saw looked great. But I did get the sense that Superman was "too serious". I like Henry Cavil, but maybe he got bad advice from Snyder or something....
I may sound like a fanboy, but IMO some people are being a bit silly. This movie takes itself as serious as Batman Begins did, and I have no problem with that. They concentrated on getting it right and modernizing Superman's lore over cheap laughs at the expense of the character. Superman is a serious character anyway. He is not Spider-man, nor is he Downey man. People are being caught up in between Reeve's campy humor(and nostalgia) and Marvel's.

😂 at saying empty action and brooding is modernizing a lore.I've no problem with liking a movie and thinking its fun, but this take on Superman will be forever forgotten as soon as they actually get a writer that can write a decent Supes. My two cents anyways.
Not with the GA it seems.

Sometimes it depends on the character which side of the spectrum you fall more on.
For instance Ironman should have a lot of humor because the character is quick witted genius that can throw out the best quips so they should be coming fast and often.
Batman is about a tragic hero who turns his pain into a super hero, you should hold off on the joking. Even than the movie makers put in laughs here and there to make the character easier to swallow. His main comedic foil being Fox and Alfred of course.
Superman, imo, falls in between those two. Of course it also depends on the type of Superman story you're trying to make.
Anyways point, Superman being super serious doesn't mean the film will be better. It just means you're getting a serious Superman.
Like I said I haven't seen the movie so we'll see.
