facepalm at people praising Nolan for Man of Steel.

Yes, his Dark Knight Trilogy was good. But he did jack all for this movie outside of put his name on it and tell people "hey, it will be good".

actually you are wrong.. His presence is clearly felt all throughout the film.. If indeed this starts DC's shared cinematic universe than Nolan is right for the job, in fact WB should keep him on the payroll until the day he dies

So far in the small markets, MOS is doing slightly below IM 3, which is still impressive. Seeing as posters thought it wouldn't do close to IM 3 numbers. 😉

this should make enough for WB to be very happy

oh @Jake, Nolan WROTE the film along with Goyer

Nolan definitely deserves some credit. The first 2/3 of the movie were great then the final act was just nonstop action with some flawed pacing. Nolan definitely helped with process and then let Snyder loose for the last act.

Snyder deserves credit but he's always been mediocre and a pro with the special effects. He needs someone on his shoulder helping him out imho.

Actually Nolan is nota person known for making action scenes..etc. His name is plastered to make a marketing effect. Synder or whatever his name is responsible for the action. All his movies that like that

Like someone else mentioned here, had the movie failed, it works be the director's fault. If it was successful, it was thanks to Nolan

EXACTLY

But I already knew the hate would start

Nolan had LITTLE to do with the movie. It was basically ALL Snyder as was stated by Nolan and even the cast as well. However, Nolan's style is definitely in MOS as well as other SH movies like TASM. Nolan has had a bigger influence in SH films than any other director.

Hopefully I'm seeing this tonight

Just got back from seeing MOS. I will probably write a more in depth review tomorrow but better than Iron Man 3 imo.

Thanks for a useless post.

Nolan just gave his name and money.

He confirmed this a few times.

facepalm

I finally watched it also. I'd give it an 80%

Spoiler:
The movie had action, mediocre to great special effects, decent to convincing plot and good acting. Unfortunately, it also had some real issues.....

1) Superman letting his "dad" die (also, his dad for being STUPID)....No. Just No. So dumb...

2) All the "Jesus" allegory... 33 years old, "he'll be a god to them", "you can guide them, you can "Save them all" ......FFS reallY?! So annoying.

3) there were many plotholes. Superman taking years and years to develop his powers and yet his Kryptonian baddies learn how to do almost everything he can do in a matter of moments....There are more but ya....

4) Movie was too long. Cut it down a bit to a more manageable 120 minutes...I felt it hurt the pacing..

5) There were other things I had issues with. But again, this movie was pretty good.

Looks like the 4 day total for MOS with midnights is around 125 M. Not too bad and is the key to the JL franchise.

Oh, I wanted to add that Shannon as Zod was awesome....really great version of the character loved every scene he was in.

MOS had the biggest OD in the UK. Nice. 😎

So domestic it appears that MOS is already at 125 million. If this film has some descent legs it could at least match IM 3 stateside but it's not likely to do so. Didn't hear any official overseas numbers yet.

never been worried about people who hate..

neither is WB since they know the truth as do I

anyway Man of Steel should make at least $60-65 million next week to win it

I don't have any OS box office chart but how is that compared with ironman 3
