AotC Yoda VS RoTS Anakin (Saber duel)

Oh, you two.

First, there's no evidence to suggest Yoda would utterly pimpsmack Dooku like he would, say, Ventress.

Second, Dooku is not Yoda's equal. He is not close to Yoda's equal. The fact that he struggled in some respects to subdue Ventress elsewhere (TCW) but on Vjun could fell her by simply lifting a finger points to a significant power boost while there.

Third, Dooku's previous fights are inconsequential when we know courtesy from the ROTS novel that he, as SIDIOUS66 pointed out, is very efficient in using the Force to scatter his fatigue.

Fourth, Yoda's relative ferocity in fighting Dooku versus fighting Sidious is observable. In the Force fight with Dooku, Yoda only attacks once, and deflects the rest. He's clearly reluctant to clash swords with Dooku because of their history, as is said about Mace in Shatterpoint. In his duel with Sidious, he's constantly trying to go on the offensive and in pursuit, both with his lightsaber and with the Force.

Now, I realize it could be worse, but I'mma slap you both.

Ventress should have been boosted their too though. That should be more evidence of how much Ventress improved which was the reason Sidious gave for ordering her execution.

There's no reason to assume that Ventress, a neophyte compared to Dooku in the ways of the dark side, would be able to reap the benefits of a dark side nexus to the same extent he would.

But in either case, SIDIOUS66's overall point is well taken: Dooku isn't on par with Yoda, but nor would he be utterly steamrolled by him either.

Is there any reason to assume Dark Siders with less mastery get less of a boost on a Dark Side Nexus?

In any case we all agree Yoda is above Dooku, but not to the extent Dooku is above say Obi-Wan.

Dooku will make Yoda work for the win.. But Yoda will win every time.

Sidious did say Ventress was getting too strong in the Force.
I would say she is now somewhere between dark and gray Jedi (straddling the balance between the

Not too long ago you implied that Obi Wan was on par with Dooku in sabers. Why did your opinion change so quickly?

Don't get me wrong, I respect that someone's opinion can change. For example, I use to think Dooku was near equals with Sidious in sabers, but when I look back and consider their feats and the context of their feats, Sidious's are actually quite a bit greater than Dooku's, despite having fewer showings with a saber. So I'm just curious, what changed your opinion about Dooku and Obi Wan so quickly?

My opinion still remains,
Ventress still has some surprises.
Dooku and Obi Wan ?

I was talking about Ventress.
As for those two,Dooku seems to know a weakness in Soresu's defense
Without using Physical strength.

No way Yoda can kill Anakin fast IMO so I think Anakin's ability to get stronger gives him the edge.

Was talking about an all out. It's obvious from ROTS Obi-Wan is no match for Dooku at all in an all out.

But in pure Sabers I still think Obi-Wan's on par with Dooku after his feat against Maul and Opress.
