This is a bad showing for Thanos.

The team was impressive only in numbers - in actual quality, very few actually matter when facing Thanos.

Darkseid performed considerably better and last, but not least..

..if we take Brevoort's word, Marvel Universe: The End is not canon. Hope the Thanos fanboys can abide by that from here on out.

🙂

Brevoort also said that HoM Wanda's "No more mutants" hex only affected one alternate reality that no longer exists (hence why she can't be held responsible for her crimes), this is DESPITE the fact that it was said to be omniversal on panel.

So Brevoort can go fxxk himself.

WW3 Black Adam > Thanos. lol.

Truth if we go by his last showing

The group that attacked WW3 Black Adam was insanely more powerful than the group that owned Thanos.

Just for reference it inlcuded 3 GL's (Alan, Stewart, Guy), Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Firestorm, Martian Manhunter, Obsidian and Geoforce. And Captain Marvel.

I agree on most of this, and if Thanos lost the fight in a competent way, then yeah you could almost say it's not sooooooo bad.

But the details are what make it so noteworthy.
And the state in which Thanos was left after the fight, is the icing on the cake.

Bottom line I can't wait for the next Thanos vs Odin thread for example.
It should be fun after this.

and?

Tom Brevoort was the editor of Avengers Assemble, so he did contribute. He actually worked on the book itself, so his opinion is probably more reliable then us internet comic nerd's lol. His comment obviously implies everyone attacked Thanos. Definitely way off then what some people were spouting: that only a handful of heroes attacked Thanos once.

He was one of many editors.

I do sniker at the people who keep mentioning an inexperienced JLA. Sure, but did you forget when he first met them with just a gesture Ko'ed them sans Flash? It didn't matter if they were experience or not, he just ourright ko'ed them in one move. A move which would take out majority of the team listed here. Then when Superman woke up he used his beams to beat Superman and sent him to Apokolips to be tortured.

Anybody mention Tony Stark's theory that Thanos may have done some damage to himself wielding the faux cube the way he was?

No? K, carry on then.

I don't like Brevoort either, but just because he was wrong on one thing doesn't mean he's wrong on everything. And its certaintly not proof he's wrong here.

None of these people are as strong as Hulk or Thor so this post does not matter.

Oh he's been wrong on many things, he has admitted he hasnt read several of the issues people are asking questions but assumes this is what the correct answer is.

None? bwahaha.

Not a single person. Especially if we consider punching power.

It certainly isn't proof that he is right either.

And by now I think you'll again avoid my question. That I already asked about 5 times.

How do these attacks from characters like Mr Fantastic, Spiderman and Black Widow stack compared to a WW punch to the face or a pissed off GL attack?

Captain Marvel disagrees.

Captain Marvel is strong but he isn't stronger than Thor and he sure as hell isn't physically stronger than Hulk.
