Anakin Skywalker showed more compassion when he tried to turn around to help the nameless clone pilots. And at least that unlikeable wretch had enough humanity written in to him to leak a solitary tear after he got done killing people. Supes just tells people not to follow him after he gets done attracting supervillains and levels a city. He's kinda a giant *sshole by film's end.
Statements being made that there is death and destruction in Donner’s superman movies is ridiculous. There is no comparison to the destruction that occurs in MOS to the destruction in the first two superman movies.
Also, Lois Lane only die in the original superman, not because he did not have enough time to save her, he forgot about her because of everything that was going on. When he turns back time, he does everything else he did and saves her.
Donner definitely showed that the superman in the original movie was not perfect and inexperience,
• Hit by a car
• A little too cocky and inexperience so Luther is able to trick him
• Forgets to save Lois

Yes but that was actually balanced by scenes of Supes SAVING people as well. In MOS the closest thing to Supes showing compassion was asking a downed pilot if he was ok.
lolz..

Reeve Suoerman was punching Nom through buildings.Sure the destruction does not compare, but I think the destruction goes along with their powers. Even Donner realized this with limited technology.

Not to bring this up again but how the hell was superman able to break Zod's neck so easily?
necks are easily breakable in movies.. kryptonian or not.. it's actually ridiculous how easy people break each other's necks in movies.. it's actually hard in real life.. i think they showed this on mythbusters..
