Meanwhile from Latino Review...they're reporting J.J. wants Johnathon Rhyes Myers for Episode 7

Hmmm,okay.

If he gets it, this might be the role that finally makes him A-list.

Ya think? Did Hayden Christensen make the A-list?

Myers is a decent actor though. Christensen isn't.

Hey, I said might.

Meyers has been hovering around the big time for a while now, just looking for a big break.

This could be it.

Maybe. SW kinda supercedes stardom though.

Ignoring outside movie info:

1) Can safely deduce the same way the Jedi are. They're born Force sensitive but choose/turn to the dark side.

5) Can say Anakin was since he's the one that tossed the Emperor down the shaft thereby destroying the Sith and restoring balance to the Force. Prophecy fulfilled.

-That's exactly why I chose these questions to be answered. If you're correct and Anakin was the Chosen One and brought a balance to the Force by killing Sidius, then question number 1 needs to be answered to determine if another Sith Lord could be "produced"... and no, I do not mean Cloned. If another Sith could be trained, then killing Sidius didn't bring balance to the Force. But if Luke is the Chosen One, his birth from a being created by Midichlorians (per Palpatine's quote in Episode III, not EU) then Luke could bring a permanent end to the Dark Side. Remember, this is just speculation on ways the story could be extended to include a ST and still make it relevant to the PT and OT.

I always assumed that the movies showed that, clearly, Anakin brought balance back to the force by doing the following:

1. Ending his reign as a Sith Lord.
2. Ending the master Sith Lord's reign by killing him.

This does not mean, however, that no one will ever again become an unnatural dark user of the force (unbalancing the force). It is fully possible that a Sith Lord could come into existence, again, and a new prophecy made and a new Chosen One created.

However, I do not think that is what VII will be about as that would be a horribly recycled plot.

vader was already dead when he turned on palpatine. (the evil identity that was darth vader) anakin did not need to die for the prophecy to be fulfilled. it just worked out that way.

I agree. And even though I would like the next trilogy to be a continuation of this story, to go down the route of Old Jedi Master Luke and his new Jedi Order destroying a new Sith Lord would diminish the emotional meaning of Anakin defeating Sidius (the last powerful Sith Lord) .

Ah, yes, this. I lacked the ability to adequately and eloquently put it into words why it would suck.

Hahaha

J.J. Abrams: 'Star Wars Episode VII' will start shooting in early 2014

if he uses the same fast screen clips action sequences as in into darkness i will be deeply disappointed. i dont mind the occasional lenseflares but he better not add the 'michael bay factor' to this one.

Very excited to see what Abrams can do for the Star Wars universe.

Now someone is going to troll in here.

Indeed. Glad shooting is starting "soon." However, as focus pointed out, shit can get out of hand with some of the effects.

We'll be safe from that in this thread, I think.

i wasnt commenting on the effects. i was rather floored by the effects in into darkness. what annoyed me was the michael bay'esque quick-scenes where no shot/angle is shown for more than a half second, to 2 seconds tops (mostly a half to one second), which after 20-30 straight minutes of action climax is goddamn exhausting on the eyes.

i also just dont like it. for me it kinda ruined ST-ID.

As creative consultant on the film, George Lucas's involvement includes attending story meetings. "I mostly say, 'You can't do this. You can do that,' ” he told Bloomberg Businessweek. "You know, 'The cars don't have wheels. They fly with antigravity.' There’s a million little pieces. Or I can say, 'He doesn’t have the power to do that, or he has to do this.' I know all that stuff."

Disney? Now now...

Leave George Lucas outta this. Don't start.
