* ok, so Jean is really angry at O5 Scott... and i don't get it... he hasn't done anything! and with present Scott and Emma not doing well, both Scotts have zero lovelifes at this point...

* and Jean seems to be ok with Logan? no matter how Marvel wants to make them look like a better couple than Scott-Jean, we all know that Logan-Jean will not work, is very stupid and full of sh!t... it's like the Scott-Jean produces someone like Cable, and Logan-Jean will produce someone like hmmm... Feral, or maybe a Morlock or somethin'... ahh, stupid Wolverine...

nothing as of yet in the way of feats but his body changed again, back into a more ape-like form, but he looks larger.

as for cyclops (magneto and emma frost were also altered by the phoenix) his optic blast fires a messier beam, and with the visor off the beams scatter in a bending stream. he also seemingly got a power boost cause young cyclops and current cyclops met beams (both had visors) and current cyclops won

PR might be getting the good cyclops development he wanted

Actually looks good, thanks. Beast looks pretty formidable there. I hated Morrison turning him into a cat like thing.

* i like the series too... so far... although there are some loopholes --- like it was Scott who should be angry at Emma, not the other way around; current Scott in emo mode in #4, then in #5 it seems that nothing happened; the blame falls on O5 Scott, when it was the current Scott they were really after --- it's still a good read...

* O5 Scott vs current Scott --- current Scott should really win... but i think, since the PF is said to have been messing with the mutant abilities of current Scott, Emma and Magneto, i think this is not an upgrade but a downgrade... it was shown that current Scott was having a hard time controlling his powers even with his visor on, which is stupid...

* another loophole, in #5 it seems that their powers are back to normal, when current Scott was talking with Benjamin (the new guy), he does not seems to have any problem controlling his powers, and he was only wearing glasses, compared to a much safer visor... and Magneto was shown using his powers to lift/levitate a huge steel boulder or somethin', when in #3 he cannot even use it to stop a speeding vehicle...

His beams are possibly too powerful for them to be controlled properly by that visor. Magik got more power, as noted by cyclops and herself. Colossus should have some alterations as well

^ Yea, he's obviously going to get a new X-shaped visor with his new costume which will presumably help control his power. And although Ive really liked Cyclops' most recent costume a lot (definitely his best look), I think Immonen can pull off his new design.

I didn't read the issue. Does Original Cyclops asked current Cyclops since when he's such an enormous douchebag?

sure, but she's like [we're not going back], and she would handle things herself. she's a far more self-reliant character in this and knowing the future should make her more pragmatic than even teen cyclops should be. she already knows what chuck will do and that he "did" do to her future self.

i have a feeling she's going to rise as the star player in this

magik got amped, and colossus is mia, but he might get an amp or changes to his power. either way, pr and charlotte's get extended christmas presents

another thing i noticed that was confirmed was that cyclops' new optic blast have all those crazy effects arching around him and i suspected they aren't just for flare, they actually do damage cause the tree near the path of his blast was hit by some of it.

you pretty much can't go near him with his visor off

Scott remained a pretty heavy X-men until the last 10 years and even then his relationship with Emma was warranted due to her death. He had to move on.

Her reaction was crappy at best for the fans. I understand he got possessed by the Phoenix Force and activated an very extreme X-Force.
But the guy did what he had to do.

My only understanding of Jean's response to the psychic realization of her future is the events that happened after her death. Which is fair.

But the previous events heavily out way the later.

She's just bitching...or Bendis is trying to write women again.

Chauvinistic writing of women in comics is common amongst these writers but this is Jean Grey here. The perfect girl. Understandably young but she better get her shit together in the next issue.

I wonder, if all this happened to the O5 and eventually they go back to their time and get mind wiped by the Professor, shouldn't Jean had recovered those memories after becoming the Phoenix?
