He really doesn't need the armor here, no.
King Thor without the Armor isn't the same as him animating the armor. Stop acting like the latter is King Thor + Destroyer when in reality it is just Destroyer controlled by King Thor. It's arguable that King Thor is more powerful than the Destroyer and this fight have a less powerful being against DD than King Thor himself.

👆I mean, the idea that adding Mjolnir wouldn't make King Thor in the Destroyer Armor overall more powerful and formidable than without it is even more crazy than the idea that Mjolnir is only kinda more durable than Superman.
We go by feats Jake. You know that. Stop being a worst debater than Quan now.
Superman does have the feats that show him not being too far away from Mjolnir in durability. To deny this is trolling and ignoring on panel proof.

Remember, This is h1a8.He didn't even know that Thor was able to use Mjolnir's powers while in the Destroyer until I posted the scan...this despite him posting scans from that arc...which pretty much proves that he gets all his info from battle/respect threads and not the actual comics.
This is a lie. I clearly read the part where Thor teleported. I dismissed it for the reasons I gave. Thor was shown to pick up the hammer and only use Mjolnir's power when in contact with it. You can't deny this.

The armor itself is more powerful than Mjolnir, yes. Mjolnir still has abilities which the Destroyer doesn't such as wide scale manipulation of the weather on a planetary scale, longer range attacks, and the Godblast, which arguably, trumps even the Destroyer's disintegration beam.Giving the Destroyer Armor Mjolnir to use in addition to its natural powers - and whatever else the host might be able to use - totally makes the DA more powerful and formidable as a whole because of those added options.
More abilities doesn't mean more powerful. An extra ability can be weaker or just not as practical in a real fight (takes too long to pull out and or is too inconvenient). And thus you see that extra powers in this case can be more of a liability than an asset.
Destroyer can't do the Godblast with Mjolnir. The energies must come from Thor's body and not the Destroyer itself. Also it is arguable that the Destroyer blasts are greater than the Godblast.
Fight is battle distance, and leaving the battlefield isn't permitted. What good is longer range attacks when the Destroyer's beams can travel far more than battle distance?
