Grant Morrison appearing in Animal Man
Ozymandias's "I did it 35 minutes ago"
Barry Allen sacrificing himself against the Anti-Monitor
Superman holding his dead cousing in his arms
Death of Phoenix
Hulk bracing the mountain in Secret Wars
Magneto pulling adamantium out of Wolverine
etc.
[yeah, Batman and Superman have a lot of those, it's not for nothing that they are the top 2]

A lot of the good ones have been mentioned already I guess. For Thor, I'd have plenty from Simonson's run alone.

- So many moments from the Lucifer comics, especially the ending.

- When Carl admits to Rick that he killed the twins.

- Darkseid's speech in final crisis.

- The lanterns charging up after rescuing Kyle in Corps War.

- Alfred's reply to WW's question about whether or not he's okay after Bruce's death.

- SOOOOO many from Flex Mentallo and any of Morrison's runs.
