Puny decorative Bats could do with some powers at this point, when faced with characters that can break him like he is an afterthought.

Yea, that never seems to work out for those super powered beings.

Aquaman is lucky he has TOAA on his side (Geoff Johns).

Batman can still win, though. Hopefully he drop kicks Johns out of ever writing him.

Seemed to work fine for Supes in the first issues of current JL.
I love Johns using Batman as he should be used.

Pretty much.

Batman wasn't serious.

Batman is a normal human who should have died most of the times he even stepped in a battlefield full of characters that can fry him with a stare or toss a mountain on him (same for most streets like Hawkeye, Cap, Green Arrow, etc)

I love him as a character, but his PIS shield is second to none.
Johns is good for Batman in JL.

YouTube video

Did you guys watch the Robot Chicken DC Comics parody? Hilarious shit, poor Aquaman.

Cap is not a normal human.

Cap is not a normal human.

He is enhanced to be the perfect human specimen, achieve the highest physical attributes a normal human can.

He is street level.

No, Grant Morrison is good for Batman in the JL.

Johns uses Batman as "how can I make the character I like better [i.e. everybody] look good using Batman?"

I agree on the Morrison part (eg the way he took down Hyperclan), but for every good Batman feat (and fan) there are always those that are pure fan fiction, like the infamous Batman Confidential issues, some Batman/Superman issues and ALL of the times a metahuman punches Batman to the head and his head doesn't fly like a football.

In this case Batman can't compete with AQ on a physical level.

I, too, wish we'd get back to a time when street levelers would use their skill and brains to stay in fights with superhumans.

Nowadays, they just hit harder, somehow.

Exactly.
And that's not even lazy writing.
It's admitting to favoritism on the part of the writer.

Of course Batman can pwn people way more powerful than him (via skills and gadgets). But owning them through strength and "hitting them hard and fast" is just laughable.

Rage, dude I'm an Aquaman fan.
I have AQ as an avatar.
I've heard all the jokes and seen all the parodies.

And you post a Family Guy vid dissing AQ.
I know you must vent somehow for Thor's rep going all 0 (to the point you shamefully wear Hulk as a sig), but you should know better.

Ending the Ragnarok cycle

Aquaman and Batman will come out of it looking well.

Hell, Aquaman said as much in the issue that Bruce would be one of the biggest hurdles for an Atlantean invasion.

Which is super human.

Which is super human.

Only slightly.
Near superhuman seems more fitting.

A normal human could get to his level without the juice in theory, but he would have to be perfectly trained, fed etc constantly to achieve that.

That's my understanding.
Not really superhuman, but more than a human could realistically achieve.

No, he is pretty much the definition of super human.

No human could ever reach his level, that was the whole point of the serum.
