Not really. I was emphasizing the the false notion IM3 is a bad movie. A bad movie would either be low on ratings, or earnings, or both. When a movie makes over 1 billion dollars AND has good ratings...you can't objectively call it a bad movie.

Don't get me wrong, there are movies in the MCU that I don't like. Thor 2, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk to name a couple. I'm also not a huge fan of IM3, but it's not a bad movie. It's a different take on not only Tony/IM but also the Mandarin and our expectations in general. It did something bold and it payed off. I did find the film funny and I generally enjoyed it. Is it a great movie? No. Not to me, but it's not OBJECTIVELY bad either.

So what would you rather I call it? Mediocre? Tonally all over the place, two kind of crap villains, a meandering plot, and more filler than something with a lot of filler.

You don't want to call it bad? That's fine with me. I just don't think you can call it particularly good either, and I still consider it the weakest of the seventeen movies so far. It's seventeen I think.

YOU can call it whatever you want. It's your opinion. The movie going audience and critics disagree with you though. So again, this notion that IM3 is objectively "BAD"is just wrong. What would I call it? Enjoyable, probably comparable to Justice League. Around a 6/10. Both films are inherently flawed but also offer some good things as well. I wouldn't call either JL OR IM3 objectively bad films.

I do think however, Justice League is PAYING for the sins of the other BAD films that came before it ( ie; BVS and Suicide Squad).

It also suffered from lack of setup.

It could have been much easier to handle if there was no BVS but MOS2 in 2015 to introduce WW and Batman, then WW and Flash solo in 2016, Aquaman in early 2017.

I like it because besides the terrible villain pick, a lot of the problem got to do with the previous settlement and it was on the right track.

Exactly, he's trying to force his opinion onto others.

It's unfortunate that the DCEU is all but finished if Justice League's performance is anything to go by. Would at least like to get a Wonder Woman sequel before WB decides to scrap this universe...if that's the route they eventually choice.

But at least nobody can take this away from DC:

I agree with the second part of your post, at least.

Problem is now that Marvel have no competition they can get away with putting out more Iron Man 3’s.

It’s not like the audience is threatening to switch to the competition Lol

Shazam or Aquaman are going to have to be really good to accomplish any kind of push, tbh. I don't have much faith in Aquaman, but I do think Shazam could be a sleeper hit, especially if it's a more family-friendly approach.

Marvel never really had any competition but like all films studio if a company releases enough shit they damage the brand and kill excitement ala dceu which hurts profits.

Have you bothered looking at the next slate of Marvel films? Buzz for Black a panther is high, Infinity War is all but guaranted 1.5+ billion, and Antman is introducing the Wasp. Creatively, in 4 years the storylines and environments in the MCU are much more diverse, and the potential for another mediocre Iron Man 3 is all but nonexistent.

Can't speak for anyone else, but Panther looks awesome. I'm hyped for Infinity War. Wasp? I didn't like her character, but Paul Rudd should keep things entertaining.

Dreading Captain Marvel though.

I wish to see more DCEU, MCU and FOX movies. Dunno why would someone want one of them to fail.

Same. DCEU isn't finished. Not by a long shot. Now, if WW were to underperform, then there would have been time to panic. Matt Reeves is still working on Batman, Aquaman, and SHAZAM is still coming out, too.

Fox needs to make better X-Men movies, but Deadpool 2 will be good, hopefully.

Fox did make quite a few good X-Men movies, but their F4 movies suck as hell.

I've loved them all
I have my issues with Deadpool but FOX aren't creative wet blankets like their Disney counterparts.

Can't say I agree. I was talking about team movies specifically though, of which I only personally rate First Class and DOFP (to a point).

X-Men 1-3 for the most part are bland and forgettable. Deadpool and Logan were great movies, but they were the exceptions, not the rule.

You've been wearing the same avi for 9 years, so don't say they're forgettable 😂

how do I do the spoiler black bar thing?
