Ya this. Think about if Avengers 1 would have opened to less box office than Iron Man 1 and had much worse a reception than Thor 1 or Captain America: The First Avenger.

It's not quite an apples-to-apples comparison, but as DT is stating in the quote above, the team-up crossover movie is the payoff. It's the withdrawal to all the deposits movie-goers make by seeing the individual films. Instead, now we're talking if Wonder Woman 2, The Batman, or James Wan Aquaman is going to be the franchise's trump card?

I've enjoyed all the DCEU films to an extent as I've stated before, but to quote Clayface from Batman: The Animated Series, it seems that "Curtains...going...down..."

Only chance they have now is if in Disney's infinite mercy takes pity and buys the DC characters film rights. 😖hifty:

They almost bought Fox's film library and TV properties outright a few weeks ago. If Disney was a giant before in the movie world, since buying Marvel and Lucasfilm they've become an unstoppable colossus.

Also Pixar,Disney animation which both continue to turn out hits and Disney live action getting bigger with each film.

Warner has the Potter ip but the dceu has really let them down. As I said Aquaman and WW 2 are your only hope. I highly doubt they will take a chance on Shazam unless things take a drastic turn.

its prolly just the WW sequel, IMO.... Only Aquaman fans want his film and nobody else

WB has DCEU,Harry Potter, LOTR,Conjuring, Monsterverse and Lego and It for now.

These franchises are going well and are not the disaster the DCEU is. Probably due to the people running these actually caring.
