The male dragon was a beast and a bit of luck was involved in Quinn taking it out anyways even in the best conditions for the humans. To me I look at this like taking half court shots. Most of them don't go in but luck is involved when they do. Killing the dragon was a half court shot. Initially failing against the alpha dragon is nothing to scoff at. Zan survived and simply came back. Trial and error.
Going in with those numbers wasn't foolish. They simply were defeated the first time. People died as a result of this but Quinn knew Zan's intentions were always for the betterment of mankind. That isn't in question and so they simply went in with their backs up against the wall. This is usually how the movies go down. At the end of the day the dragon was defeated and Zan gave his life for the cause. Admirable.
Red Herring, bro. We're talking about Van Zan going in at night, when he himself stated the dragons were most deadly. That was an idiotic move.
Zan's only contribution to the male's death was giving Quinn an explosive arrow and forcing Quinn to lead the way back into London since Van Zan got a shit load of people killed and the castle shacked.
You basically ignored all questions and points, poor debating form. But answering your point, I see nothing admirable about foolishly throwing your life away. If he had tried to live to continue the fight/help Quinn and Alex but died anyways, that would have been admirable.
