Is amazing how the Xmen movie franchise trash the MCU in terms of acting and quality actors, seriously McAvoy and Fass just owned in this movie.

I think there needed to be a scene in which he was put in his place. Kinda like the finale of the first X-Men movie: Magneto threatens to fight the impending war by any means necessary and Xavier, for a beautiful second, drops the warm demeanor and tells his "old friend" that he'll always be there to stop him, every single time.
Yeah a line like that would have gone far. That was a great scene in X1. But honestly I thought that message was implied. Eric knew Charles can own him anytime he wants now.

There's really no "IYO" or "IMO" about it. The acting quality between McAvoy, Fassbender, Stewart and McKellen is by far the best I've seen in any superhero movie, except perhaps TDK.
Money made has nothing to do with acting quality. Although DOFP is clearly making a lot more than the previous films, and that will lead to Apocalypse making even more. So they seem to be on the right track now in terms of box office success.

Actually there is. It was a good acting performance in your OPINION, not as an irrefutable fact. I happen to agree with your OPINION, but some people don't.

Xavier being alive (in his actual body) and Kitty being able to transfer consciousnesses were the two biggest middle fingers to the audience of this entire franchise.
Nah. The biggest middle finger would be either The Last Stand or Wolverine: Origins.

Yeah, I was incredibly impressed by McAvoy. Didn't know he was that talented. Fassbender, of course, was great as always.

Some things are just blatant for us to see though. If someone tells you Halle Berry did better acting as Storm than Robert Downey did as Tony Stark, I don't think you'll say "That's your opinion, I disagree." Because anyone who says that is just blatantly wrong.
Acting is an art and the difference in different levels of acting can be pretty clear. In fact it's even measurable by just looking at the number of acting awards people like Fassbender and Lawrence have won. (Although I wouldn't really like to measure acting performances in that way).
So let's be reasonable when something's quite clear and let's give credit for great performances where it's deserved. otherwise you just give fanboy's the excuse to say their favorite character was portrayed by the best actor with the best acting "IN THEIR OPINION."

No, quanchi's right on the money here. Acting is a subjective art. Declaring RDJ to be the superior actor compared to Halle Berry may be the popular opinion, but that's all it is: an opinion.

Quanchi's a Marvel studios fanboy whose always just going to support Avengers and Marvel studio in any category and over anyone else, especially when it comes to Superhero movies.
But if I said IMO Halle Berry's performance as Catwoman put Downey's performance as IM to shame then I think everyone would and should tell me that my opinion is clearly wrong.

Banshee? Really? Lol.
Nightcrawler attacking the White House was the best scene in X2 though.
It's definitely great for something like the X-Men to have more than 1 main character (even when there is a lead character) and having a completely different character have the best action sequence.
So I got back from X-Men a few hours ago.
The one thing that struck me watching it, was that it didn't feel like a Bryan Singer movie at all. It felt more like a sequel to First Class than I could have expected, and Matthew Vaughn's influence is very strong throughout. Is this because Singer came in too late to make any changes? Or is he simply not that involved with the story, and is just the director that follows the script and does his best to match it to the letter? If it's the latter, then I may have been too harsh on him as regards the first two X-Men movies. He'd share blame with the writers for that. I won't really know how I think of it until Apocalypse comes along anyway.
So, anyway:
Spoiler:
I quite enjoyed it. Fassbender, McAvoy, McKellan and Stewart were their usual excellent selves, though I would have to say I thought McAvoy was just a bit more excellent. The dude was amazing, and not just because he told Wolverine to **** off.Magneto was ****ing boss, exactly like i'd always wanted him to be, and that stadium scene was awesome.
Hoult was a solid Beast. Lawrence, Jackman and Tyrion Lannister were all good too. The script was better than I'd expected, with enough humour to amuse without ruining the tone of the film. The action in the past segments was for the most part really well done, though the future one felt a bit spoiled by so many cameos.
You could have had half as many X-Men fighting the Sentinels, and you would have gotten a less-jobby, more exciting couple of fights imo. Speaking of the X-Men fighting the Sentinels, I honestly felt like Blink was the only one that really stood out. Bishop, Sunspot, Warpath, Storm (lol Berry got ****ed up) and Colossus (though that little portal stunt was cool) really didn't add anything to the proceedings.
Worst of all was Iceman though; his role could have been filled by any number of mutants, and I'm a bit tired of the sullen Bobby Drake that they've given us. Where's the guy from the comics? But yeah, the "present" X-Men weren't really that great imo, though it didn't really hurt the movie by keeping them in. Just didn't help either.
Blink for the next one, though, please. She was awesome. And hot.
The final scene where Logan wakes up was well done, I thought, and it was nice to see that whole "gang back together" thing happen. Frasier as Beast was great. Was that Paquin as Rogue, though?
Honestly, the movie really did feel more like a proper sequel to First Class than X2, while at the same time trying to reconcile certain continuity errors, which for the most part it did.
Shadowcat's stupid time power aside, I didn't have any major complaints about the movie, which was not what I expected at all. Some minor nitpicks, like space-goggles mc****head Cyclops looking ridiculous, but nothing that really takes away from the quality of the movie.
The Apocalypse scene was cool, which piqued my interest for the sequel.
It's not just a better movie than X1 or X2, but it's also a better "X-Men movie" too. I'd watch it again no problem.
I do have a question though: At the end we see Stryker/Mystique take away Logan. Are they insinuating that Mystique is involved in Weapon X? Or was it just a plain "she's rescuing him from the humans even though he'll end up there anyway" thing?

I honestly think this was Mathew Vaughn and Simon Kinberg's movie. When Vaughn was supposed to direct Singer was involved, but I personally think Singer saw the potential for this movie and saw it as a chance to redeem his recent failures.
But maybe that's just me refusing to give Singer credit Lol.

I think it's a cliffhanger with no definite answer yet.
