Weyland-Yatani formed in 2099, which is a few years after Weyland's death, so yes.
Bit of trivia: The Weyland-Yutani was first named as the company behind it all in Aliens (1986), It was referred only as "the company" by the crew in Alien (1979), but the WY logo was in the ship in some scenes.
I always got a laugh about the prank the crew pulled on Sigourney in Aliens.
The crew had designed an exo-suit cargo loader that had no mechanical legs. A huge body builder (out of camera shot) would actually carry it from behind whilst Ripley was strapped into it. So for the close up shots of Ripley controlling its movements, was actually the body builder walking around supporting the frame with Ripley strapped inside.
Anyway Sigourney & the body builder were good friends during filming but something happened that made Sigourney asked for a replacement. She complained to Cameron that she felt uncomfortable around him but wouldn't go into detail what the issue was.
And from the body builder's point of view, he knew Sigourney was angry with him but had no idea what he had done.
Apparently this went on for a couple of days whilst they were shooting Ripley in the exo suit battling the Queen Alien.
Finally the crew gave in & admitted to pranking both Sigourney & the body builder. They had shoved a cucumber into the back of the padding & when Sigourney was strapped in, she could feel it constantly pressing against her ass.
She honestly thought the body builder was constantly aroused & his erection was jabbing her through the padding!

We have some minor news. Fassbender is currently filming and confirms that there will be multiple Xenos in the new film. Also the look of the sets should be a bit more primitive in style...
Has anyone picked up the Alien the Weyland-Yutani Report? Pretty interesting book. What grabbed my attention in this book was its timeline of events. The AVP Films are not mentioned in the timeline of events which makes them not canon to the Alien Films. The ships Geryon and Kadmos was mentioned being sent to LV-223 in the year 2219 AD in the timeline of events. This makes the Comic Franchise Crossover Event Prometheus the Complete Fire and Stone Collection canon to the Alien Films hysterical

I just stumbled upon this video in youtube.
It seems 20Th Century Fox actually says Fire and Stone is canon to the Alien Films since the ships Geryon and Kadmos mission to LV-223 in the year 2219 AD was mentioned in the Alien the Weyland-Yutani Report.

There is a bunch of hype with people thinking that they are about to release a teaser trailer or something. But they are still filming as far as I know, right? They aren't likely to release a teaser until filming is done I wouldn't think.
