Yeah, Gohan's a hack with the whole hidden potential thing. Don't want him taking up the spotlight again anymore than Goku. Piccolo I don't mind becoming relevant again though.

But other than that, what Zack said.

Agreed about Gohan.

Really, original Dragon Ball was Goku's story, and Dragon Ball Z to the Cell saga was about Gohan's journey. Buu saga was really just Toriyama dicking around because the fans didn't like Gohan as the lead, even though I personally liked the light hearted, tongue in cheek nature of that saga..

I could go with Piccolo becoming relevant, but what I'd really like to see is one of the humans getting a power up that lets them compete with SSJ's. Tenshinhan would be a good choice for that, but I'd take Krillin too...

Say, give them a Super Human transformation, or some kind of modified Kaio Ken. (And Ten was good at improving on techniques...)

Dragonball Multiverse has an interesting take on that.

One of their worlds has only high-powered human heroes- Yamcha is an android, Krillin and Tien have trained under King Kai, and Videl's one of Krillin's students and not only knows Kaio-ken but also wields the Z-sword.

Mystic Gohan was the phucking bees knees. They need to bring that back.

I liked the hardcore angry version of SSJ2 Gohan, personally. 🙁

I liked the concept of Mystic Gohan, more than I liked Mystic Gohan himself.

His theme sure was good, though:

I'll never forget how Piccolo shit himself harder at his power level than anyone elses, he was like "that power level, its MINDBOGGLING!" 😂 I love the SS2 gohan as well, but something about the simplicity and outrageous power of mystic gohan...It really lets him stand out in his own lane. Like, forget your ss2, 3 business, Imma keep my cool ass hair as it is and stay powerful as phuck.

Vegeta outperformed the Z-fighters even before the Bulma slap. Guess he's reached some kind of level where he's Super Saiyan transformation is competitive with Mystic Gohan/SS3 and when pushed, far above. *shrug*

Didn't Gohan start going SSJ again in GT?

I think Geta outperforming Gohan is just your standard GT continuity glitch.

Good stuff. Master Krillin is awesome, and would have had Tapion dead to rights if he wasn't holding back and went for the kill. 😄

dbm has some good concepts (Too bad their execution is hit and miss.. Like what's with Buu trying to take over all of a sudden? Why now? Seems like the only point, is to show off how powerful the super Namek is.)

Me too. I also liked the fact he pushed himself to the limit in order to obtain it.

Where as Mystic Gohan just literally sat on his ass and was a stupid cocky bastard--though all saiyans suffer from this stupid flaw except Mirai Trunks.

I chock it up to Vegeta being a more trained fighter than Gohan. His battle senses are miles ahead and between the buu saga and the Bils saga, Vegeta most likely did far more training than Gohan. But Vegeta got just absolutely raped by bils before the slap, he could really only manage a couple of dodges/blocks at the beginning but that's nothing major. His battle skills keep him in it atleast a little against every villain.

Out of the two, SS2 gohan was definitely my favorite and the peak of the character. Just something about mystic. His swaggometer was off the charts 😆

I'm thinking Akira Toriyama just gave up on pleasing the fans at that point. Kind of a "If they don't want Gohan, fine, I won't give them Gohan. And have fun getting hyped up for this big deal powerup that has absolutely no payoff." middle finger dickery.

If you read the Buu saga closely, there's a LOT of stuff that's almost "All Star Batman" levels of fan trolling.

Vegeta was able to actually react/dodge/block some attacks and withstood a pretty decent beating in comparison to Gohan who was owned instantly with one attack. Even SS3 Goku could not put up any defense as far as I recall and was owned in one hit.

DBZ better skills = more power and more dominance. It's been this way for a while now.

Question? How much more powerful was Metal Cooler then Frieza?

👆 Agreed. It is insane how he took more damage than everyone even pre-slap. Having said that, is anyone surprised at Vegeta's damage soak? The guy spent his entire career getting his ass beat. He can take a beating all right lol.

Was rewatching the Cooler movie and Goku had the edge over final form Cooler while in base form. After the Buu Saga, base form Goku should be way more powerful then Frieza. This movie also illustrated how even in base form, Goku could get way more powerful.

Exactly my point Zac. Vegeta never gets one shot. He is too skilled and has too much damage soak(when his will doesn't crumble like a fortune cookie) so its Pretty reasonable that his insane edge in skill too would keep him in it a little longer than gohan.

Back on one of the old Dragon Ball sites (Temple of Trunks, Planet Name, Dragon Ball Blast, one of those) they had this music video that started off like a standard tribute Vegeta, with him looking baddass or noble, and then.. scenes of him getting his ass handed to him, set to laid back music. Like, every single scene from the DBZ anime, ever. They even put in Krillin shooting him through the chest. 😄

It was HILARIOUS.

Wish I could find that video again, but it doesn't look like it made it to Youtube.

They never really say, just like with King Cold. It's presumed he's probably even with Freeza up to his fourth form, and the fifth one puts him over the top by about as much as any single one of Freeza's forms are more powerful then the last..

The movie is non-canon though, but definitely one of the better ones.

And to be fair, Goku received a zenkai boost after recovering from a direct hit of Cooler's death beam with a senzu bean.
