That was their 2nd fight where cass claimed he was hard to read. Im thinking slades whole 90% brainpower enhancement had something to do with it and/or he adjusted somehow from the first fight. Cap doesnt have that. So again, why couldn't cassandra read him like a book? You are right. Id simply like to know what it is though.
I don't know about other people, but for me, her body language reading will work, it just won't be enough to help her win. Why? Because Cap is stronger than her. He's at least as fast, if not faster. He's more durable. He's arguably as skilled, if not more skilled.
She's going to have a tougher time against him purely because even if she sees a punch coming, it's still coming at her with the speed and strength of a top tier MA. You could argue that she might hit him more than vice versa, but I honestly don't believe any gap on her end is going to make the difference.
Also, Steve can take more hits than she can.

I can your point, cdtm, but really, in some cases, those "iconic" characters really do have the feats to warrant them being the favorite in their bout. In terms of the high end "street level" tier, in a fight with no weapons or gear, Steve is arguably the top guy.

Nice break down Pr.

She's definitely the smaller target and more agile, though. He's got more mass, meaning more momentum, he doesn't change directions and positions as fast (and not just talking how it *should* work in real life, we all know that doesn't apply, but in how they're *draw*). She's got the actual better speed feats.
And she's arguably more skilled- Cass has been training from birth and not only can pick up moves at Taskmaster speed, but has intense hands-on training from Batman and Shiva, as well as experience with many other top fighters.
And this is without shield.
I think, bare minimum, you're talking 50/50, but probable edge to Cassandra. She was designed to be the best martial artist in modern DC, and her feats hold that up.

I'm not in any way trying to lowball Cass. I've read her too. 😛
Even if I were to agree with you in terms of agility and momentum, I honestly wouldn't see it as enough of an advantage to win her the fight. If I'm being honest, yes, I think she's more skilled. I just don't think the gap is big enough for her to overcome Steve's superiority in other areas.
Just my personal opinion.

Stamina wise, she doesn't need to better him. I don't think many can beat his stamina, tbh.
Steve doesn't have the market cornered on never getting tired, but how many fights get settled through attrition?
She CAN keep going full steam for a long time, at full steam, as many top MA's can. Many hours, or even days if need be..
