Heh. You're likely part of the 25%. You've been pretty tight-lipped so far. Most are either obvious (Charlotte/M'gann) or have had to speak out on behalf of their character(s) (Abhi/PG/Abom, Me/DA, etc.). We pretty much KNOW 4-5 in both rounds so far (again, if you're following all discussion), so at even a 50% success rate on the others, I'm at or near 75%.

Also, I already guessed for your body via PM. If I guess again here, it could narrow down my own pick in others' planning. Gotta stay strategic.

hmm, i just noticed someone drafted PITT. are we sure he's meta?? healing factor, hulk-level strength..... i recall a x-over where he fought hulk and hulk couldn't take him. just throwing the name out there in case anyone else missed it.

lol fair enuff. hopefully we can get the powers sorted out shortly then we can reveal the whole amalgam. i'm really curious where some of these ideas are headed.

Which actually raises a good question...will we know complete amalgams before our first match? Or are we flying blind in match #1? I'd prefer the former, but I suppose the fog of war effect (so to speak) will affect everyone to some extent, so there won't be massive advantages either way.

But like, we know both of beatboks' picks. It's his first tourney so he's fighting enough of an uphill battle. Flying blind would certainly be a disservice to him. And to others who have 1-2 picks that are obvious and/or known through discussion here. I don't care a ton personally, but given the right/wrong matchup, it could bite anyone.

i agree--for fairness to those who already have some picks known, i think the full amalgam should be made public before the first match.

Full Amalgams will be revealed before the first matches 🙂

When do people want to start the Power Draft?

Tomorrow evening? Anything sooner and people might miss it. I'd suggest even later - like Wednesday - but I also know we're trying to maintain the breakneck pace.

I can make nearly any time. My opinion matters less than most with this.

i don't see why

the majority of the competitors are actually holding unknown cards, and those who's cards are known are for simple reasons. the secrecy adds charm

Isn't Arion a Herald level sorcerer?

Tomorrow Morning. Same as time as the body draft. Lets get this over with.

Or you can be totally random, and let Chaos Reign.

Besides the fact that curry already just ruled on this...

It adds an unfair edge for some. Imagine knowing your opponent's whole team and being able to make your writeup. He does the same, but with no knowledge of your team. Who's going to be ahead out of the gate? Especially if we're in brackets instead of round-robin, where one match could be it for some, it's too big an edge to arbitrarily make.

...

Speaking of, more relevant questions: how are we doing matches? 10 is kind of a weird number.

If we do a bracket of 8 with 2 sitting, the next round would be 6...so 4 fighting with 2 sitting. At that point we're good, but someone (2 people or so depending on how matches go) is getting the short straw and fighting one more match to win the tourney than at least 2 others.

A round robin also isn't ideal. Two groups of 5 = a lot of matches with the same characters. Would be a bit monotonous.

Other ideas?

not in My opinion or ID's yes there are feats that may allude to that but they all have context that makes them not "his" feats. id possessed by mordru, controlled and fed power by Morgan le Fey, powered up by some god or other granting him extra power.

I've already said I'll swap him for Vic Sage ( question ) anyway. it gives me vertually the same schtick.

I propose a 10 Team, Double Elimination.
