Just because it was before COIE, doesn't mean its not applicable to SBP who is a PC kryptonian through and through. Heck even normal Superman turned himself into a human for one year when he wanted it and gained his powers back when he wanted it again under Johns.
It is.
Iyo.
It does, because his powers work differently now. You mean Year One, after Superman flew through a Red Star?

If Sodam Yat as a regular Green Lantern and his girl friend can take Anti-Monitor's blasts and survive, then I see no reason why Superman can't.
Judging from Natu's words, if she took the second attack like Yat did, she'd have been dead or seriously injured.
And AM did kill a Guardian.
Anyways, maybe Superman could indeed take the same.. You can't really argue a GL ring wouldn't add to one's durability, though. If anything, Natu surviving the initial onslaught lends credence to Yat being even more durable, with the ring combined with his natural durability.
More durable then Superman? Depends on how much more durable you consider Supes next to your average Daxamite, I guess.
the only issue i have with some of the logic i see in this thread on the thor side is this--superman, like thor--has also defeated plenty of foes that on the surface appear to be well above prime. hell, adam beat almost everyone. hal is also in this boat. but we saw what prime did to all those guys, easily. i think anyone in that tier has feats well above their average, but prime was intended to be above them, and treated them, at times, like they were nothing. i can't subscribe to the idea that just because sometimes thor can and has hurt people that seem beyond prime that he would be able to beat prime. sounds bass-ackwards, i know. but i think we assume, based on showings, prime is significantly above this tier, or we assume everyone jobbed to him, and i'll not be buying that line of thought. or we assume that if thor can beat him, so could superman, or adam or hal or billy, or any other herald. and in straight 1on1 i don't see any of them taking even 1/10 from a non-lowballed prime.

Originally posted by leonidasThat's the problem then. Not thinking that a CIS/CIP-less Superman, Black Adam, Hal Jordan or Captain Marvel could take him on. Are we just forgetting the levels of foes that Superman, Hal and the Shazams have fought and beaten?

TBH, the whole "Prime casually walks around with CIS off" really threw this whole thread off. As this is not really true. The OP should just clarify if ppl should disregard his comment about SBP or if ppl are to take it at face value as part of the stips.
I already clarified this a while back. The stips only apply to Thor, not Prime.

And your reasons, as originally given, was because SBP doesn't really get hampered by CIS...

No BFRING for this fight. Who wins?
Which has evolved to "It's lopsided if SBP doesn't have some CIS on", in your reply to Jake.
Basically, it would have been easier to state off the bat whether you wanted a CIS-less fight, or wanted to somewhat handicap SBP.

^agree.
SBP still wins, tho. But the "Thor summons red sun vs SBP" idea was pretty creative and would no doubt bypass SBP's magic immunity IMO. Thus, this'll actually be a really good fight.

Gotcha.

Don't think Thor would have time to get exotic. Serious question, assuming prime has basic knowledge of Thor and Mjolnir's "bond" what if he heat visioned Thor 's arms off right off the bat? What then?
The hammer looked like it drew in energy when he was fighting Celestials.
And the hammer covers a lot of space when he's spinning it, as he usually is.

Where does it imply that? I wouldn't mind.
Pretty sure he injured a Guardian with his touch, not kill. Despite a regular Lantern surviving a blast, go figure. Guardian's are worthless pieces of shit. Can't believe people use to compare them to Odin, that ship has sailed.
Most definitely, Superman is at least more durable then a regular Lantern's green aura. Yea, Yat was clearly more durable then Natu due to his daxamite heritage, I never denied that.
Yea, I guess.
