Its not just the people in this thread. I went on my facebook and saw a friend share that trailer. His comment was "Not that impressed tbh. Gonna need to see more."

If the normal public is acting similarly, the trailer is to blame. I agree too. That trailer was pretty mediocre. Thats not to say the movie will be, but the trailer needs to do a better job selling it. I remember being blown away by the Man of Steel trailer and rewatching it a hundred times. Thats not the case here.

The voice was robotic and synthetic.

I can only DREAM that the voice belongs to Metallo.

Metallo would be AWESOME.

I also wouldn't mind Braniac being the threat that brings all the heroes together. I'm still betting that sentient machine in the world engine was him.

You were blown away by this:

???

Because that's the first teaser. The first teasers usually only tease the movie and show watchers that this is coming out soon. That's really all they do. The action and set pieces are almost always reserved for the later (superior) trailers.

I mean just look at the Star Wars trailers. The first was, well, awful. The second was honest to god the best trailer I have ever seen.

I loved the trailer. IMO, it may not be going over well because unlike MOS, the trailer shows no action, presumably because they want to keep Bruce's method of fighting Kal, as well as Lex's plan, a secret. MOS had the luxury of a rather straightforward plot, so the trailer could spoil the fight scenes. DOJ has to play it quiet. Whether this either builds up or detracts from the film is up to interpretation.

No dude, this is the first teaser for BvS! It was also worse than the MOS teaser you posted.

YouTube video

The video they recently released would be a trailer. Compare that to this:

YouTube video

It has loads more personality, an amazing soundtrack/theme for Supes I hope they bring back, and it gets you beyond hyped. I got hyped just watching it, and I've already seen MoS. The BvS trailer just doesn't evoke the same awe. MoS and the Watchmen trailers (the first Watchmen trailer was PERFECT) blew it away, and they're both Snyder so I expected more.

That doesn't mean I'm hating on the movie. It just means they need to step it up on future trailers to really hook people. I'm sure the movie itself will be epic as hell. Plus, you're probably right. Future trailers will sell this much better. Still, this first one didn't accomplish the task.

No. That was the teaser for the teaser not the teaser itself.

I hope to god thats not real. A teaser for a teaser? WTF?

Aren't teasers usually shorter in the interest of teasing for the real trailer?

Nope. That was seriously a teaser for teaser. lol

Not the first time it's been done either.

Damn people are getting heated lol.

Some people think hate then when the read InHuman's posts, however when you actually talk to him you realize he is a big Superman fan, he just didn't like Man of Steel.

You can be a Superfan, and not be a MoS fan.

Yeah, it's easy to forget at times when you see all the DC hate or what looks like a bunch of it, but naturally, there are a number of Superman fans that weren't happy with Man of Steel. Was one of those love it or hate it kind of films like the last Godzilla.

Newsflash: These are comic book movies. No matter how hard they try to cover that up with trying to make some artsy, dark, adult themed film.
Even the most dark comic stories had one liners and some lighthearted moments in them.
If you think the marvel movies are cheesy and campy that's fine, but at least that how the source material is and the movies are being true to that.
Dont knock them on that because you dont enjoy "fun" that is on par with the comics. Granted not all were great. But most were enjoyable and well made.
On the other hand even the darkest DC stories are not 100% only catered to ultra mature adults like you think you are.

also lol @ unrealistic 😂

Newsflash: None of these marvel movies actually draw from source materials except in a very superficial level.

And I don't prefer superhero movies to be Transformers. Simple as that. You prefer that, good for you for having blind faith in marvel.

Yeah, even for fiction those are unrealistic. Just like FF 7.

He isn't saying they are following the source material directly, he's saying they're keeping the same tone.

Surely I did. Both are formula based popcorn blockbuster movies with no story values whatsoever.

GOTG was shit,

Uhhh, NO.

For the record, I don't actually prefer any company in these terms. I can objectively say Cap 2 was better than MOS because it was.

Though, every other movie from them aside from IM 1? Formula based cheesy trash. GOTG was shit, Thor 2 was shit, IM 2&3 were shit. Avengers was good for first time but it's pretty much unwatchable now with its cheesiness.

Transformers and FF 7 are no different than a marvel movie these days. All the same loud, unrealistic, cheesy movies with a set formula.

I agree with you for the most part, though. Out of the 10 Marvel movies, I only liked 5 of them. Not bad, not great. They do follow the same formula, with awkward comedy, IMO.

Are you sure that you're not just mad because GOTG was more popular than MOS? 😈
