No, he always got his powers from the sun. Hence him getting astronomically stronger when he went into space for the first time. He was never hit with a nuke in the first movie or damaged that much to need the sun all that much to power him back up.

I think I may have enjoyed it more than BVS, but this guy brings some good points, so people should stop talking crap, because not everyone hated BVS and it will draw up a respectable box office performance. I've already spoken to many people (co-workers and friends) and they generally liked it. A lot of people hate it too, but as long as the GA likes it, I think Snyder will stay on for one more.

Why is it ok for New York to be destroyed by Aliens in Avengers, but its not Ok for Metropolis to be destroyed by Aliens in MoS?
Superman had to kill Zod, there was no other way around the neck snap. They don't die...Superman is still alive even after having a nuke and a hole punched in him.

The "Tone" argument is fuqing stupid. I already said that tone isnt as important as understanding the characters and having a talented team that can make a good film based on understanding the characters.
If people loved humor and quips then Batman & Robin , Fantastic Four 1 & 2, Batman Forever would have a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes right?
And Batman begins, the Dark Knight, V for Vendetta, Winter Soldier (didn't have many jokes), The Crow would have shit reviews on RT because they hate dark and gritty movies right?

Not necessarily. I think what most of us WANT is for the movies to make Superman likeable. Bring in some charisma. Don't just have him be an empty husk. People say Cavill was "Wooden" in BvS, but I blame that on the director/tone of the film. It's one thing to make Batman Dark and brooding but Superman needs to be Superman ffs.

Simple. The more I think about it, the more I dislike it. After my first viewing I was far less critical of its flaws and was still hyped from the DD fight. But, as often happens, a little time gives me a different perspective of the film and the flaws become far more apparent.
And, at least for me, it has nothing to do with an anti-DC bias. I truly wanted to love this film. In fact, prior to the critical reviews, I thought it was going to be a good movie.

Did you not get what I said? I said I already (in the past) I posted reason why I didnt like MOS WITHOUT mentioning destruction or neck snapping.
