Transformers has like 2 or 3 times.

Well, my initial gut-reaction was 6.5/10. But then after I really thought about it more and more I had to rate it lower. There were just too many problems (mostly with the characters themselves) that I just can't forgive. But as you said, opinions. I definitely can see how people could like this movie more...I just didn't. Therefore I don't really see a lot of the negative reviews as "agenda"; just critics giving their honest opinions.

Yeah. As much as there will always be people that just don't want to like it, the movie had enough problems that Snyder should have had a lot to think about going forward.

I sure hope so. Honestly, and I know you don't really agree, but I'd love to see Snyder gone. I want SOMEONE that knows the characters. Like, Ben Affleck was good as Batman, but did we HAVE to get an elsworlds Batman as our canon version for the DCEU? Well, hopefully Batman becomes less murderous and they do Superman justice (pun intended) going forward. I'd really like a truer version of the DCEU to add variety to the MCU. I love the MCU, but DC having their own solid universe would be great too. I just don't think they're going to get there with Snyder; I hope I'm wrong.

As things are now, I want Snyder gone, but I still maintain that he's still a very good visuals guy, and for superhero movies that IS important. Should he have control over the screenplay/script/general story? Not at all. But he IS capable of quality work, as we've seen before.

I don't want to sit through another Superman ****ing Returns where nothing happens. I want to see a good story that ALSO has a powerful Superman punching Darkseid/Metallo/Brainiac in his ****ing face.

We got Frank Miller Batman because people go on and on about how bloody great it is.

Snyder going forward is a mistake imo, as it looks like they aren't going to rein him in. But getting rid of Snyder alone isn't going to erase the core problem of WB refusing to let DC do what DC wants to do.

Look at the DC Animated movies. Not always great, not always the best quality, but when they are good, they are VERY good. Why are they good? Because WB brought in people that had worked with DC properties before, and because they don't give two ****s about animation, those people had the freedom to do what they like.

We're getting the damn Killing Joke soon, ffs.

Time to face it. Until Snyder is axed the DCEU is ****ed. And unfortunately, it's looking less and less likely that that is happening. 🙁

Rotten Tomatoes is an aggregate site. So, only 28% of the critics thought it was fresh. If you look at the average score, it's at 4.9/10. I feel like that is pretty close to the film. I'd probably give it a 5.5.

I gave this 6/10

So we all just going to go by the critics ratings and ignore the massively different audience rating on the very same site? Ok That's cool.

Forbes has done an interesting article defending the film's box office. Don't completely agree but it's interesting enough, rehashing many of Golgo's points:

Not be necessarily the whole DCEU. Perhaps only Justice League is ****ed. 🙂 🙁

Excellent article. BVS should hit 865, smashing through most comic movies not named Avengers or TDK. What will be interesting I'd what will Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman gross. I expect WW to get Thor numbers at least. 500 m ww.

Me too. I think that's a universally fair grade for that flick. I thought it was just alright, but I could care less if I ever saw it again.

Hmmm.

Too many KMCers give it 6/10 and say they'll never watch it again 😂

So... it's kinda like TDKR...? Good for once, but nothing else?

The only potentially good version of Batman Frank really did was Dark Knight Returns. In any other comic, he lost it somewhere and went cucu or got possessed by some alien parasite with bastardizing the character, in addition to his already established method of "make every other hero look terrible to make Batman look good". Even the 'Goddamn Batman' meme he created became unfunny after awhile before too long.

Given how much Batfleck was inspired by Frankie's work, I think we're lucky he even came off as likable as he did; granted, he still suffered in BvS from poor script, but has good potential for solo film and future appearances.

Agree with everything else ya said at any rate, especially on the animated stuff, which reminds me, I still need to check out that Justice League vs Teen Titans. Looking forward to Killing Joke being animated too.

That's what I'm betting on too. Not ready to be jaded about the whole DCEU... yet.

By TDKR, if you mean Dark Knight Rises, while it was heavily criticized (especially compared to its predecessors), it was still well received compared to this...

Speaking of ratings, I did initially give BvS a 6.5/10 or so, but realized that was just me being fresh from the hype of the action. Now that the dust has settled and I realized other more problems I had with the film, I lower it to a 4 or 5/10. Could still consider rewatching it sometime though (as it's still entertaining in its own way), but definitely not something am in a hurry for anytime soon.

That's how I feel about most movies. Comic or not. There is only a handful of movie I'd watch over and over again and not get tired. Marvel only has like 2 movies that are re watchable.

Green Lantern - rotten 26%
Man of Steel - rotten 55%
Batman v Superman - rotten 28%

This is the state of DC movies. No wonder their fans are attacking anyone who does not like the movie.

DC is pathetic.

More like Warner Bro's is since they're the ones who make the movies.
