TDKR didn't even get to $450M, let alone $500M... 😬

TDKR also had the Aurora shooting to contend with. There's no doubt that AoU is gonna outgross TDKR, tbh.

Yeah, it got to 448 domestic, which is where AOU should land. Maybe a little more. If you adjust for inflation, TDKR got 467 M domestic, which means it sold more tickets in the long run.

"No doubt"? If it has the same multiplier as IM3 the two will be very close domestically. It probably will surpass it though.

Yeah, AOU has similar holds as IM 3 and IM 3 got 409 M domestically. The consensus is that AOU will make around 450 M, which isn't that much more than TDKR and if you adjust for inflation, TDKR had a more impressive run at the box office.

BTW, next week will take a lot from AOU. Pitch Perfect 2 is tracking ahead of AOU and you also have Mad Max coming out.

The long run? AoU just came out last weekend.

And your focus (obsession?) over the domestic gross seems purposefully narrow-minded when you've got the foreign worldwide markets to consider. Trying to leave the entire rest of the world out of movie success discussions is deluded at best, deceptive at worst.

I'm not leaving OS out, but domestic is more important for BO results. AOU will land around 440-450. That's a good number, but lower than the 1st Avengers and TDKR.

Why do you care about numbers so much? Are you getting some % of that? shocklaugh

He thinks the amount a movie makes signifies the quality of the film. baka

True. If AOU was better it would have made as much as A1. 😉

MOS was a bad film, yet it made decent money based on the "superman" name alone. barker

Lol. Always bringing up MOS. Beating a dead horse.

Considering IM3 made $1.2Bill WW, this should easily make $1.3bill, probably even A1 type money.

Marvel just has that brand name now, and this film is 1000 times better than IM3.

But again, unless you have shares in Disney who cares?

The only time you should care is when a movie isn't very profitable, or outright flops, because that likely means no sequels, and less chances taken on future comic book movies. - I'm looking at you Green Lantern.

Well I do it because you praise MOS for making alot of money and to you , that signifies that it was a good movie and on the other hand, you are trying hard to dig up any negative propaganda for AOU. A movie that has had the second highest opening in movie history.
Its a good movie with minor faults, that is doing outstanding in theaters at the moment. Yet with your gloom & doom posts you try to imply that AOU is failing at the box office or that the MCU is on a downfall, ect etc 😆
Thats like saying showing you a picture of a supermodel and you try hard to find a fault, like saying "she is pretty but she had ugly elbows", "yeah based on that, she is horrendous to me"

MOS made 668,045,518 world wide, Amazing Spiderman 2 made $708,982,323 .

Amazing Spiderman 2 was shit , yet still made a good amount of money. And more than MOS.

I never said AOU was bad, but I was left underwhelmed like a lot of people. Whether you like MOS doesn't matter to me. As long as it was received well and it was.

That's not true at all.

Was it really?

And yet you are saying another film that is rated higher and it is pretty much a better film in every way is underwhelming?

😂
