The dread masters are impressive.

Nope. Denied. Bane and Plagueis aren't canonically known for being ragdolled via TK, dropping their lightsabers like Michael J. Fox in a juggling competition, and display more badass forms of Sith sorcery, etc. About the only form of Sids I'm willing to grant would WTFpwn Yoda is DE Sids.
Nope. Denied. Sidious has been canonically referenced as the most powerful sith lord in history, killed 3 celebrated swordmasters in seconds, Stalemated the (canonically) most powerful jedi in history (barring Luke) in the form of Yoda, easily turned people to ash with a single gout of lightning, etc.
Yeah, further questioning the canonicity of operations. There are 2 new ones, 1 in which you kill brontes as the last boss, the 2nd in which they somehow resurrect some (all?) of the dread masters and they all fight you. I played through both of them with my guild, pretty fun. Also if you're subscribed, each mission on Oricon gives you purple 66's. They also made a new set of gear that is superior to kell dragon gear, known as Oriconian/Dread Forge gear.
My guild beat Denova on nightmare mode a few times and there was really nothing left to do. I mean how long can you spend doing dailies and playing the same stupid operations? How long can you keep calling someone a *** through headphones? It got repetitive quick. My favorite time playing that game was through the storylines.

Why would it be canon, Gideon?

The Star Wars Insider is a Fan Magazine. The Fight Saber article is a fan-creation by David West Reynolds, who - being an archeologist - has once stated, that he approaches Star Wars as he would approach other cultures from different times, which, usually, features a lot of speculation and interpretation of facts. Which, in turn, hardly qualfies as generating facts. Taking that into consideration, one is pretty much forced to stick to publications making use of the article, rather than the article itself.
I believe Fight Saber was the source that created and developed the forms to begin with. Since we know Leland Chee personally vets these informative articles, I'm even less inclined to toss them out.

Why would he feign ignorance regarding Juyo?
Because feigning ignorance over lightsaber combat is to his advantage when dealing with the Jedi. Bane's passages in The Book of Sith already detail the lightsaber forms; the idea that Sidious is unaware of Juyo is improbable.

That is correct. However: Why would Maul utilize Niman when fighting with his double-bladed saber, which was, what Plagueis observed? There isn't much reason not to stick to his primary style, is there?
Perhaps Maul was merely practicing Niman? That someone observes me in the midst of a karate demonstration doesn't mean that I'm not also proficient in tae kwon do; nor does it mean karate is my primary method of self-defense.

And in what context, Gideon? The "Count Dooku vs. Darth Maul" piece, concluding that Dooku wins? 😉
Yep.

And I've given a rather lengthy argument on the term "mastery" in regards to lightsaber combat and its use in the SW source material, concluding that such claims to (lightsaber) fame are virtually pointless in determining the actual skill-level of an opponent.
And I agree with you that you can't conclusively prove one master is greater than another master unless reliable narration confirms as much. To what extent Palpatine is a master is open to interpretation; but that he is a master is not.

You've clearly been getting your information around here for some time. I've heard these arguments verbatim for years now.

Savage has also easily disarmed Kenobi in one of the episode that was either titled "Brothers" or "Revival." I forget, but anyway, it was the same episode where Ventress and Kenobi fought as a team against Maul and Savage, wherein the very same episode, Maul practically stomps Kenobi.
Season 4 finale "Revenge."
