Terminator: Genysis

I liked the movie.

Too bad the internet has turned everyone into haters.

I can see why some don't like it. But yeah the hate is over the top

Man, if this ever gets a sequel, I'd love to see old Arnold with the
Spoiler:
T-1000 upgrade
he got in action.

I get why people may have not liked it though, but I really enjoyed it for all your mentioned reasons and more.

Shit. T1000 Arnold will be bloodlusted Superman levels of unstoppable.

Actually...that might be a downgrade. Heh.

Oh The Irony.

It's not doing well because the Franchise has been on a downward spiral since T3. And this new ne has done nothing to change people's minds.

Unlike Jurassic World, which has turned the Jurassic Park franchise around again after 2 poorly received sequels.

I simulate more conversation than anyone else on this site when it forms to fantasy and fiction.

The movie was good. Other people agreed. You hated it. I didn't.

I enjoyed this far more than Jurassic world. You seem pretty anti terminator these days.

Aside from the first three movies now retconned and Sarah questionably looking way too young for Reese, good movie. Great to have Arnold back.

Spoiler:
Wish he didn't get a T-1000 upgrade however. When it comes down to close quarter combat, I prefer the Terminator as the fisticuff sort and not a cutter.

A bit of a dilemma for this franchise now...

It's clearly done terrible Domestically. But China might still save it Internationally. If it's total WW gross is $375mill+ then the sequels will happen IMO.

Would be really sad if no one ever made Terminator again because this film just killed the franchise. I was actually looking forward to another Terminator tv series. But have no excitement at all for future sequels to Genysis.

what they really should have done was have Terminator Genysis been a total and complete reboot far away from Arnold ....

Yeah, I haven't seen this yet, but I tend to agree. Keeping Arnold in it doesn't necessarily make it better. When he showed up as his former younger self in Salvation it felt very forced and unnecessary.

You know, i think ANYTHING would have been better than what Genysis did. I'm very hard pressed to think of anything positive to say about the movie. i remember thinking there was a nice looking car on one of the roads in the background...,that's about the only good thing i can think to say about this movie.

Do you really think a reboot would have been the best direction for this franchise? I still think they had a chance to correct the derailment of T4 with a proper script. For as awful as T4 was, it at least tried to continue the story. I don't see why no one thought to simply tell John Connors story that was established in the earlier movies.

All the fans wanted to see was, Connor rise to leader of the resistance and see him send, Reese back in time. That would have been a perfect plot for T4 and great way to set up a T5...,we see what happens to Connor and the resistance after the events of T2. Although, i guess if it makes to much sense, hollywood won't consider it.

I do because had they gone the reboot route then that would have opened up the door for something much better..

Arnold killed the role again. Acting like he didn't is just plain shitty IMO. Haters gonna hate.

The one without Arnold did shitty IIRC.

Arnold was one of the positives, I thought he was awesome.

Some of us actually care more about the Franchise than the one actor/character they've over used.

It didn't do shittier than this one when you consider inflation and the growing international market.

When Arny is the best actor in a film, then you know they're not exactly going for top notch talent.

Besides I'm not even talking about acting ability. It's the story

I agree with that. The story, direction and script were very much mediocre, Arny's performance was undoubtedly the best part of that movie.

I agree too, didn't think of it that way.

I was more concerned about the mother of dragons anyways🙂

You don't seem to care for the franchise at all. Arnold was still there for parts 1 and 2 you adore so you undermine your own point, dummy.

Arnold is playing a terminator who is bad at human behavior so the terminator should be the least polished actor. People like you who have no grasp outside of anything other than their own misguided opinion make me sick.
