Well, just from the movies we don't even know if Plagueis was real or that Palpy invented him to seduce Anakin.

Well, that's true. But Palpatine still had to be trained by someone.

And it's clear that the film makers of the ST are avoiding any dodginess from the PT. So don't expect too many neat connections.

I know, and that's a problem. There's no reason to put conscious effort into not enriching the prequels or take advantage of the few good ideas it had.

McDiarmid was very good in it. he saved the scene. Anakin's part was, as in the rest of the PT, very poor. He sure comes across as a very stupid boy. But this was Palpy's scene.

Why was Anakin's part very poor, other than your irrational hatred of him? Why is the possibility of being able to save his wife from death piquing his interest so unthinkable for you?

There's no way he's Plagueis. What kind of dumb reveal would that be

Exactly. It’s a non-reveal for the vast majority of the audience and the characters.

Bringing him back as Snoke would not only justify his power and tie the movies together, it could also be explained in context of 'the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the Force' since there might well have been a point when there technically were no Siths. While having Snoke as just another Sith Lord who rose to power in Palpatine's absence doesn't make sense and isn't nearly as interesting.

This assumes Snoke is a Sith.

I know Snoke probably isn't a Sith, since the Knights of Ren were more or less established by J.J. Abrams not to be. But he still fills that role.

Even still, Plagueis would be a good candidate for developing a different dark side-order.

^^^^ well lol what if Snoke is Darth Vader lmao

Was anyone interested in Plagueis though? Other than like, completionist obsessives?
From that conversation in rots I've always been very interested in seeing Palpatine's master whose powers far surpassed his own.

I honestly don't care anymore.
But both old Annikin & Snoke have the same gash in the scalp & the same ripped up left cheek.
Juz saying when you see both pics together it's either uncanny or lazy in the make-up dept.

That wouldn't make any sense.

Bruce tries to understand things he just fails at every turn.

Every character apparently being related or connected to eachother doesn't make sense either.

Rey escapes on the Falcon, conveniently at the same time Han's looking for his ship...u huh.
The new villain happens to be related to Han...yup.

Rey's got a droid with vital information on Luke...oh wow she's now in the same ship Luke once traveled in & Han happens to be his b/f....u huh ok ok.

Then Han who has made it clear he's never bothered to track down his son...NOW has to take Rey to the same location he's at...both mind & Death Station blown!

And finally is Rey related to Luke?
That's 2 generations of parents abandoning their offspring "for their own protection."

The movie was fun & enjoyable but 2 weeks later it really doesn't hold up on substance or credulity.

How are coincidences in anyway comparable to Snoke being Vader? A character we not only saw die, but literally saw his ghost and who looks nothing like each other.

What?

This never happened.

He is making things up now. Sad.

Han had that speech w/Leia about how difficult Ben's upbringing was & they both kinda did the deep sigh together that it was best to just let him go.

Well, no. Leia actually said the opposite.

And when did Han take Rey to Kylo's location...

tell that to this silly fan theory that's going around..

I will find it when I get the chance

Esau, Ares,

Just watched the scene:

-Leia comments how she shouldn't have sent Kylo away; that was when she lost Kylo and Han

-Han comments how they both dealt with the loss in "their own way", Han's being he went back to the only thing he was "ever good at" (ie smuggling)

-Leia comments "we both did"

-Han comments "we lost our son, forever"

-Leia blames Snoke; comments how Kylo can still be saved

Honestly I couldn't care less if Snoke is Vader or not.
I mean it was already stupid having Palpatine on the Jedi council & no one sensing the Dark Side in him so yeah I don't think it's too far fetched that Snoke "could" be written in as Vader.

Yes, we saw Vader's death, his funeral by fire & ultimately his ghost.
But there's no denying they both share the same facial injuries & Snoke looks like a burns victim.

Could Snoke be a clone from Vader's ashes?
Why does Ren have Vader's mask at hand's reach & not mounted on the wall as a token of worship?
Why is the damaged helmet consistent with Snoke's facial injuries?
Left side of the helmet crushed like Snoke's left side of the face?

I'm simply passing on comments other people have speculated.
I really don't care if he is or isn't. I'm just saying it's another ridiculous possibility in the SW Verse.
