I have never doubted Abrams. Star Trek 09 is pretty much better than any Star Wars film with the exceptions of 4 and 5.

I really don't care for this actor. Never have and doubtfully never will.
What's even more disturbing is he was offered the role of Khan. Thank the Trek gods he passed as to give me one of the greatest characters in all of fiction.
That being said I hope he passes on the role.

That said he's not anything special in my opinion but he has the capabilities to pull off some great roles.
