Lol at what I've seen over the past few days.
I remember when people were jerking off over Supes bench pressing the Earth for five days, non stop, in the dark.
Then the next issue, everyone else were triumphantly pointing out how, in combat, Superman's punches were only mountain shattering.
Now we have a true combat strength feat on top of a lifting feat.....and people are ....what, disbelieving of it? Do you guys like Aquaman that much, that you want him to remain the sole top dog in the JL? Ignore whatever love you may or may not have for Marvel characters, and just let it sink in.
He ripped DOOMSDAY apart. And whilst you might gripe that this DD is watered down, no one else in DCnU was up to the task.

Its just the opposite of what they do when someone like Thor gets a feat like that.

I'd also like to add that this is a high end feat. It's highly doubtful that he'll be able to replicate the feat when next they meet.. I mean I just don't see him ripping apart opponents on the same level as DD in desperate situations. Same reason why I don't think Hulk will indirectly blow up the planet everytime he lands blows or Thor won't indirectly shatter our moon everytime he hits someone with Mjolnir...

What about Thor punching a hole through Angrir? Angrir did survive locks from Rulk without a scratch and Rulk is high class 100?

Nothing. I'm asking Cel if we should exclude that showing as well? That entire comic was filled with Thor love. Not only did he kill Angrir...He fought evenly and defeated a Hulk that took on the Defenders (and it was stated they couldn't stop him), mud stomped the entire Vampire Nation, etc, etc. Crazy showing for Thor. I agree with him and I don't think it should be used as a norm for the character.

So Thor can only beat Hulk when it's a high showing? pr1983

Not what I'm saying. He one pieced Angrir and then defeated an enraged Hulk after busting a hole into a Serpent. He defeated a HIGH herald and a trans level being in a couple of panels. INSANE ft. Wouldn't consider that the norm but again...it's a great showing for Thor. Well worth it due to his yr before that (Marvel pooped on him for a long time).
