Well, at least now they seem to have a realistic option for the next potential encounter with Zoom. The new Velocity mix not only appears to be stable, but regenerative instead of degenerative, so Barry should be able to use it to give him a temporary speed boost, without any bad side effects. It boosted a powerless "Jay" to Flash-level speeds, so just imagine what it would do to Barry.
My problem with Wally is we haven't even really seen Joe and Iris massively talking Barry up. Just treating him like they would a family member. There was never any "isn't it awesome how Barry is like God" type conversations. It's Wally being jealous and making everyone feel like shit because Barry got the father Wally didn't. Even though that is 100% his mothers fault.
Yeah, they really haven't made Wally particularly likable so far. Though I can understand him feeling a bit miffed with the whole engine thing. It's kind of demoralizing when you feel you have done something great, only for someone else, and a "sibling" no less, to come around and point out everything that's wrong with it.
Yeah but on the other hand what did Wally expect their collaboration to be like? Barry just sits there and nods his head and tells him "great job" occasionally? Isn't the point of getting help from a genius to benefit from their knowledge?
Though speaking of being smart...Barry is a smart guy, but he actually doesn't come across like a guy who is going to invent a friggin AI in the next decade.
Barry could have been more tactful though. Even I cringed at the way he was going about it.
Actually, Barry has always been portrayed as highly intelligent to me. It's just that he is surrounded by people who can match his intelligence. If you actually go back to his first appearance on Arrow, when he was just the visiting CSI, he especially comes off as being ridiculously smart. But now it's overshadowed by his exploits as the Flash, and having supergenius characters like Cisco to compete with, who can make a friggin' alchemy gun in the space of a few hours.

This. It was so retarded, I didn't feel sorry for them at all.
Jessie is also pissing me off with her constant brat/b1tch face. Oh noes we are stuck in another Earth now, I'd rather be back in Zoom's cell!

Plus the fact he's a shark seemed to skip their minds
So what did Argus want to eventually engineer shark people or what exactly was their goal with holding this thing?
Also Wally was kinda stupid as well. Big shark monster busts in saying he specifically smells the Flash. He just happened to pick THAT house out of all the houses. Then Barry disappears and the Flash appears. Then once everything is over Barry suddenly reappears again, while everyone around Wally seems super calm at the entire "Shark just broke part of our house" situation. Obviously the logical thing to say is basically call the dude a pussy.
Do these people never ever learn actual..lessons? There is really no point in keeping the truth about Barry a secret from Wally if they are going to have him hanging around and in the family and even going so far as to set little play dates with him and Barry. Sooner or later a situation will arise where if he knew the truth he'd of been infinitely safer then being kept in the dark.
On the mystery of Earth 2 Jay Garrick, maybe we're missing the obvious.
A speedster who lost his speed and stole another man's identity? Velocity 9 would have been number 1 on Thawne's list of projects, if it existed when he was posing as Well's.
It's also near straight comic book cribbing, simply swapping out Barry for Jay.
Even after getting past the latest barrier and increasing his speed, Barry is still way too slow for Zoom. Based on Wells' comments from earlier in the season, Mach 3.3 is, at best, still only about half as fast as Zoom is (when Barry was still at Mach 2 Wells said that Zoom was 3-4 times faster). So they are still going to have to come up with further plot device to even things up.
