Any sort of anti gravity produces a shield like surrounding, scientifically speaking since he is manipulating anti gravity field, a shield would be produced. In his early days on the rig, seems his clothes were burned off and torn, after he figured out how to manipulate anti gravity it appears his clothes were no longer affected. There is obviously some aura produced that is shielding him and his clothes. The fact that its DC canon that the aura exists makes me not think this is far fetched. As he as busy flying around the world to take down the WE, then fly back and stop Faora and Zod from destroying the airplane carrying his ship that would kill their strategy. Zod survived the black hole, then he had to go head to head like all these circumstances..

Loki activates the bifrost to destroy the frost giants, Thor confronts Loki and trys to destroy the bi frost, Loki tries to stop him. How much planning is there? The fact that Thor is stronger and better then Loki gave him the win.
When Ironman was fighting Stane to stop him from killing Pepper, what was the strategy? It was to defeat him and go head on.
When Hulk was fighting Thor, what was Thor's objective, to face him head on and stop him, and then he had help with the jet getting Hulk off the ship.
Only in Avengers last fight do we see a team strategy where they are all working together.

I was going to comment on this myself. Superman's feats of ramming into far large and heavier objects in the film is WAY more relevant to the current scenario than when he rammed other Kryptonians, because of how the size and mass of objects relative to each other affects what happens when said objects impact each other. And considering that Superman can fly at several times the speed of sound, Godzilla being a "moving and fighting" target is totally irrelevant, as he would be virtually unmoving from Kal's perspective in anyways.
