Captain America: Civil War

Awesome movie I'd give it a 8.5/10

Spider-Man is easily the best part

The only negative is I feel like nothing happened in the movie, nothing changed, nothing was achieved. The only character that went through an arc really was black panther. Other than that the mcu wasn't really moved forward in any significant way. That said it was super enjoyable and I always shit myself when the winter soldier theme plays

Nothing happened?

Spoiler:
Zemo won in the end. He achieved what he wanted.
Bucky is out of the picture. Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Anyman were all prisoners that were broken out by Cap. They are fugitives from the law.
Vision is confused about him having feelings and feeling like shit for almost killing War Machine. Tony cant trust Widow.
The whole team trust and dynamic is gone.
A lot happened in this movie.

the government pretty much owns the Avengers

Rhody broke his back.

Tony found out his parents were murdered, and by whom.

Cap is a fugitive and hiding out in Wakanda, which was our first look at that world.

Half the team is in prison.

Wanda came to grips with being responsible for the deaths of a dozen or so people.

the entire Bucky storyline was resolved.

Spidey and T'Challa were introduced.

...yeah, nothing happened.

The Avengers basically don't even exist anymore.

serious lack of spoiler tags around these parts....glad I already saw the movie.

the movie is out. 😬

You shouldn't expect spoiler tags for topic-specific threads after the movie/tv show is out. If you come in this thread and haven't seen the movie, that's your fault.

So, despite a lot of other people going out of their way to use spoiler tags because it's the rules; you feel you're above them? While I agree with you that people shouldn't be on here unless they've seen the movie....they might just be coming in here to see GENERAL REVIEWS; aka non spoiler reviews. Not everyone can see the movie within the first few days of it's release.

well, those people need to either get their priorities in line and contribute to the opening week success, or learn to have some self control.

there are spoiler-free reviews all over the internet. 👆

I avoided this thread for an entire 2 weeks.

stop being a communist. 👇

I mostly avoided it until opening day as well. After I saw it though, I put my review in spoilers. It's just the appropriate thing to do. But sure, spoil away....I've seen the movie.

I honestly forgot it just came out.

I've seen it twice already

SM was pretty well known after the last trailer. The YouTube views were more than any other super hero movie and of course the TV spots.

Yeah but that was like right at the end of the final trailer. Plus he's not in any of the posters. So you would assume he just appears in the film for a couple of minutes. When fact is his role was =/> Ant-Man's who was marketed way more as being part of this film.

Yea, I didn't expect Spiderman to have much of a role in the movie. I thought he'd only get a couple scenes.

no you're not. there's a 2 viewing a week limit.

People laughed at Spider-Man, especially at the secret scene. And no, not in a good way.

Yes, but the box office tracking numbers for awareness was on AOU level or above. Someone on the BO forums thinks the BO has peaked when The Avengers came out. Maybe Infinity will get 200 or above.
