Just saw this film again. Love it just as much every time.
No idea why this is struggling to pass that travesty that is IM3. Doesn't matter how much more popular IM is, given he co-stars in this anyway.
Must mean the demand for superhero films has slightly dropped. Although hard to believe that after Deadpool's succes. So could just be over saturation of the market means that same audience is divided over more movies. There's only a certain number of these type of films people will watch every year.

Well, Civil War is still technically out-pacing IM3...but it's only ahead by $5 million at this point. Seeing as it needs to make about another 105 million to beat it; yah...I don't think it will. I still hope it can crawl past it but it's starting to look doubtful.
it doesn't matter to me if Civil War doesn't pass Iron Man 3... I thoroughly enjoyed Civil War as I have seen it 6 times.. As for Iron Man 3 I did like it, but it should have been much better
An all over the place fan review I found at Alvaros. From the looks of it he is lurking in many message boards:

If we got some of those dollars, then I would care. Otherwise, those numbers mean nothing to me.
Well it's a measure of success. And for the most part it's the most important measure for studios.
But thankfully Marvel are looking at more than just the final box office numbers when making decisions, given they gave Infinity War to the Russos and not to Shane Black.
