They didn't make them science based.Thor talked about how science and magic basically mean the same thing to them or something like that.
Yes, and that seemed to be a case of their tech being so advanced it might as well appear to be magic to a more ignorant mind. And I put 'science' in quotes, because there are still some vague quasi-mystical elements to it, but less so than in the comics I feel. We actually see Jane recognising parallels between Asgardian and human tech when she visits. They even have things like laser turrets for city defense, as seen during Thor 2. In comparison, comic Asgardians gain an extended lifespan by eating magical apples, just to give one example. The comics also have things like the Odinforce, which is yet to be mentioned in the films as far as I know. Comic Asgardians are portrayed as being a lot more mystical than their MCU counterparts. At least based on what I have seen.

Everyone who has watched Not Another Teen Movie knows every crew needs a token black guy. 😛
Anyway, the point is that there are deviations between the comics and films, and not just there. Just look at the changes made to Jarvis, or the origins of both Ultron and Vision. So it'd hardly be a stretch for them to alter the origin of Black Panther's abilities. I am just hoping whatever route they take, whether they go along with the comics or do something different, they do it well. As mentioned, I just don't want him to be yet another guy in a fancy suit.

Well, despite voicing concerns, I do actually believe that they will do him justice. They have more freedom with him than they have had with most other characters for quite some time. Isolated origin away from the Avengers stuff taking place in the US (so no need to worry about how what goes on there affects his backstory), and with Dr Strange's introduction to the MCU, they can even incorporate some of the more mystical elements of the character, should they actually choose to.

hope not. afterall, a Dr. Strange movie is happening, so i don't see why they'd shy away from the magics.
I think Strange's powers will be more of harnessing a universal force or similar with some vagueness thrown in than someone outright saying "hey, it's magic!". Maybe though.
Something that is evident in this 2.5min trailer, we get two scenes of BP going after Bucky's dick, so I'm guessing Bucky (as Winter Soldier) assassinated BP's father or did some kind of murder-death-kills in Wakanda on the behalf of Hydra. As was noted in CA:WS, Bucky helped shape the 20th century with his killings and covert operations, I'm paraphrasing, but it was some comment like that.

They are being very vague with exactly what they plan on doing. On the one hand you have people like Kevin Feige who said it was going to be a "mind-bending acid trip" compared to other Marvel films to date, and talking about how they are going to be exploring alternate plains of existence etc. Yet in the same article mention things like how "quantum mechanics" are also going to play a role.
But I still think they could spin the supernatural elements of Black Panther from the comics into the films if they really wanted to. Entities like the "gods" from the comics can just be extremely powerful alien beings from an alternate plain, capable of viewing and influencing ours. And from some people's perspective, that's exactly what "gods" are in anyways.

Calm down and don't get mad at me because someone else is pushing your shit in again in another one of your "battlezones".

It's not a matter of "not being able to" then them wanting to do it, considering what little magic/mystical aspects we've seen so far in the MCU.
They could easily spin Bast and the Egyptian mythos if they really wanted into highly advanced aliens (which may or may not be magica)l from an alternate realm like they did with the Asgardians.
