Well, even his suitcase armour, which is one of his weakest and most basic armours, is strong enough to kick a car with enough force to send it skidding several yards. So I would say he still has a significant strength edge. But Cap has more than enough strength, in combination with his vibranium shield, to do some damage to Tony IMO, especially if he targets the weaker areas, like the joints of the armour.

Even with Cap's AoU feats the IM suit is still many times more powerful, in IM1 Tony caught an Audi SUV and held it for a bit while at around 10% power. Then he grappled and held Thor for a few moments in Avengers.

I don't think they're amping Cap in this film to be able to stalemate the IM suit, why we see Cap and Bucky having to tag-team Tony and we're not sure of the context behind that scene. Tony could have been hurt, drunk, having another emotional moment etc.

Bucky's arm and Cap's shield should be able to hurt him and I doubt IM was going all out.

Oh I agree 100%. Hence why I mentioned that even his weakest suits still hold a significant strength edge over Cap. "All out" Iron Man one-on-one against Steve would end in Cap being little more than a bloody smear. That is just fact. Cap is a monstrously tough SOB, but he's not surviving the kind of arsenal Tony normally packs.

But I believe the Bucky/Steve combo could do some serious damage over an extended fight, providing Tony is holding back, or there is some other plot related reason why he can't use all his weapons and power. Because even two-on-one, Iron Man going all out should kill them both.

I wonder if the hurt thing might actually have merit. He seems to have a black eye and some bruises in a few shots in the trailer.

Well to be fair looked like they get the jump on him in tight quarters. And Cap does have carry an indestructible weapon.

Out in the open they wouldn't stand the chance though.

Tony is going to turn the tables, only for Clint to pop out of nowhere like a ninja, and nail Tony with some trick arrow that shorts out his suit. 😛

.

See, it's all about context.

The way I see it, Iron Man accidentally walks into an ant's nest & it's pretty obvious Cap & Bucky are just getting the bugs off him.

So Hank Pym is attacking Stark?

Or it could be fleas from Black Panther...

Speaking of, those three (Black Panther, Captain America and Winter Soldier) were seriously hauling ass during that foot chase. For Black Panther to be keeping up with those two he has to have some form of enhancement. I wonder what angle they are going to go with in the movie.

He's enhanced in the comics.

Movie forum is 15 years behind the comic forum.

I am aware of what he is in the comics, but they've changed a lot in the MCU. Just look at the Asgardians, or Wanda and Pietro. I expected him to be enhanced somehow for the film, but I am curious to see what the story is behind it, plot-wise, for this universe.

Wanda and Pietro were changed because Fox has the rights to mutants.

Everyone else is the same from what I recall. Not sure what you mean about Asgardians.

thre's no reason they can't use the heart herb.

I think he means how they changed them to be more like advanced aliens.

Yes, this is exactly what I meant.

They can either go the way of the special enhancing herb, or they could go a different route, and say his BP suit is mechanically enhanced to boost him to superhuman levels. We haven't seen that much of it in the movies, but we know from the comics that Wakanda also has some very advanced tech. So I am wondering if they are going to make it the herb (which I would find better), or going to water it down to him just having some fancy armour too. I doubt they would use that other panther god thing.

I'm thinking all the mystical origins of BP's powers will be removed and he'll be the Wakandan version of a super-soldier.

Going by how they tried to make even the Asgardians kind of "science"-based, I agree that this would most likely be the case. Like I mentioned previously, I just hope they don't water it down completely and make him just another guy with a fancy suit/tech.

That's what they are.

They didn't make them science based.

Thor talked about how science and magic basically mean the same thing to them or something like that.
