I'm honestly not too familiar with the Infinity Wars but the 67 characters was referenced from an interview with The Russo brothers directing it.
Another poster even speculated the main cast having evil versions of themselves...

I read what the Russo's said.. they do not specifically say that the film will include 67 characters, all they said was that they have 67 characters on a board....

so who gives a flying frack that there will be cgi characters.. so why aren't you crying over the fact that Affleck's bat armor is cgi?
the best thing for you to do is simply stay home from seeing movies, then you can stop crying over them

Exactly, I could maybe see them doing a final scene showcasing the entire roster, as a nod to possible future films.

1) I think it was CTP who 1st claimed it would be ridiculous to introduce more characters without giving each one an "Origin Back Story."
And ever since Keaton donned the Bat costume, I questioned why not use cgi elements for the costume? Dude couldn't even turn his head & his fighting style restricted with such a bulky costume. Hell, I even said (on various message boards) to at least make Bat's cape cgi so it wouldn't look like a useless fashion accessory. I even praised Snyder for breaking away from Nolan's realistic approach & said we finally get to see Batman's abilities closer to the comics BY USING CGI elements in the costume.
2) Crying?
All I've done is question the amount of characters being used/introduced in Infinity Wars. Hell, even some posters questioned calling Cap 3, Civil War by the apparent SMALL number of characters that seem to be involved.
3) So basically Infinity Wars Part 1 is now gonna be a collage of origin stories for all the lesser characters.
Wow Marvel's been building Thanos up as the ultimate finale but he'll now be sharing the screen with lesser characters' back stories.
I definitely won't be crying as much as your looking forward to mediocrity.
