Well if you account for inflation the Ramai Spider-Man movies were probably making $1Bill in today's terms. Then look at even without Spidey this would make somewhere in the region of 1.3-1.5Bill.

That's the major advantage of doing Solo films first Golgo.

Not sure if TASM2 will have any kind of negative impact on Spider-Man'sgoodwill though. But I reckon the GA have had enough SM solo films and wanted the character in something like this now.

That's still not close to 2B WW. And doing solo films isn't the only way to success. Unless you think the future of DC movies will flop.

I'm not upset.

Just surprised.

He should be, this was better than any BvS trailer except maybe the last one.

Disagree. It's better than the third trailer, but not the Comic Con one. And why would I be scared? Spidey is one of my favorite characters next to Batman and Wolverine.

You forget that WB/DC has been making movies longer than Marvel and has had success before the MCU. Donner's Superman, Burton's Batman and Nolan's TDK have all sold more tickets than your average Marvel movie.

Disney's marvel cinematic universe is being copied from DC many years later into the game. The money Disney has amassed in that time is truly something to marvel at.

Suck on marvel's fumes, boy.

Why are you mentioning this here and what good does it do anyone?

Good time to be a comic fan.

To show I am right and he isn't.

Yeah, this is going to be the best damn movie this year.

Sight unseen. I don't want to learn anything more about it after this last spidey trailer, I'm going in totally blind.

I doubt it's going to be the best film this year. Heck, I doubt it will even be the best Marvel film this year.

None the less, it looks damn good.

He stops using the Iron Spidey suit when he switches to Cap's side.

It would really only make sense if it got it in this movie.

Fair enough. It's been years since I read the comic.

Wow, lots happening in this trailer. Some things to note:

- In a similar vein to BvS, it's interesting to see the destruction from Avengers 1&2 and TWS from an outsider's perspective. It looks pretty damn horrific.

- I don't think I have ever seen Cap that physically weathered, other than after he got stabbed and shot multiple times and literally let Bucky wail on him. But, as Inhuman brought up, we see the Antman/Hawkeye arrow thing. So I am thinking maybe Tony is beating up on Steve, but then Hawkeye sends an arrow at Tony with Antman on it, Antman gets in his suit and starts mucking about, allowing Cap to take the fight to Iron Man.

- Black Panther looked f****** awesome. Outracing police cars, handling Winter Soldier and taking bullets like nothing. He is already looking like a beast.

- Interesting how it seems Scarlet Witch's powers were bringing down Vision. Wonder if it has something to do with the origins of her abilities being from the gem in his head.

- I am liking the look for Spidey. I have very high hopes for him here.

- Widow looks like she is getting some decent new H2H feats.

- And also, based on that hit he gives Cap in the trailer at 1:56, Crossbones has also been enhanced. I am thinking he probably got something similar to what HYDRA gave Bucky to turn him into WS.

I get what you're saying though. Having Spidey start off with the Iron Spidey suit as his first ever would leave a strange taste in my mouth too. Even if this is the only real chance they have to use it.

Don't worry about Quan, he always goes a bit overboard when he insults people. On those occasions, just ignore it

Despite that, he is right. Spidey is the most profitable super hero, and he's been that way since long before super hero movies got big. You could put every DC property together, and it still wouldn't make as much as Spidey. That applies to all the other Marvel properties too. It's the perk of being Marvels posterboy for half a century.

this film will shit all over BVS.... this will undoubtedly be the best comic book film this year...

can't wait to buy my tickets tomorrow

I also have a feeling they are trying to trick us with the trailer cut to make it look like War Machine gets shot down by Bucky. But will have to see. Maybe it's actually Crossbones, but they frame WS to fully turn Tony against Cap and his side. Either way, this latest trailer has just gotten me more amped for the film.

Preach it, brother.

I think it was in concept art or leaked pics of them filming , its established that Crossbones now has mechanical enhanced arms/hands. Like built into his suit.

Whether he is physically enhanced as well, I dont know. Probably. But I know he has those mechanical gloves.

*EDIT* here you go...

Black Panther would without question annihilate Khan.

And did any Marvel movie make even close to a Billion before Avengers? Nope, but when you put them together it Avengers made $1.5Billion.

The only difference here is I feel they're a bit late on the marketing, with tickets going on sale tomorrow.

Huh? Who said anything about flopping, or only one way to do things?

But Marvel's formula (which isn't really their formula because both Marvel and DC have been dong it that way in the comics for years) is clearly the most profitable way.

I'm just thankful Snyder convinced WB to do a couple of other films first before jumping straight into JL.

That might be it then, considering he gives Cap a super punch. Though those gauntlets look a bit derpy IMO. Kinda reminds me of Tony's cave suit.
