What's so funny?

It's a damn shame he won't be directing a sequel. But it's understandable.

"Revenge is a dish best served cold"

I received nothing but bullshite flack from people when I said that there might not be another Mad Max film, now there is proof... clearly there is a 50/50 chance that someone else might take over but so far nothing is set...

so yeah I am laughing and laughing

Miller said he wants to do something smaller before going back to Mad Max. Fury Road burn him out.

Bruce, it more than doubled its money and was highly praised, the studio will want to continue this franchise with or without Miller directing, there's several dollars to be made.

Yeah, it was a success.

Totally understand it burnt him out.
The logistics of having to change continents filming & then working in hot arid conditions isn't something to look forward to.

Shame Costner killed it to take the Mad Max franchise to water.

A recent EW article states that he wants to do something smaller, then head into Mad Max.

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/07/mad-max-george-miller-furiosa-sequel

With all this confusion swirling, we asked if he indeed had honed in on what he wanted to do in the follow-up. “Yes, I have,” says Miller. “And certainly having conversations about it. But I’m not sure if it’s the very next movie I want to do. I’ve got something a bit smaller before we go back out into the wasteland — something that’s contemporary that we can get through fairly quickly. And something with not too much technical difficulty. Something more performance-based and so on, just to clear the exhaust.”

So, it looks like it can still be on the table. I think it just depends on Miller's mood.

There's word he wants to do a Furiosia spin off movie.

See the above link, guys.

Thought as much.

I don't think Miller would hand Mad Max over to anyone else. It's his brainchild. It wouldn't be right in anyone else's hands. And Zack's link seems to confirm that.

Better not sell the rights off unlike what James Cameron's did with his brainchild.

Quanchi112 didn't watch this, by his own words he fell asleep, so he's no one to judge.

I'd be willing to send him a copy, to cure his MM:FR sleep induced ignorance, but I can't rip to VHS tapes.

I paid for a ticket unlike your pirating parasitic ass on the movie industry. It was boring and I did doze off for about ten minutes. The ending was also shitty. All and all a very boring film to me.

You love mindless action with little dialogue and an anticlimactic showdown with a villain. It is known.

I loved Waterworld. Except for the mushy ending, but other than that: a great watery Mad Max.

I watched it in the theaters, he-who-sneaks-into-films; but look at you completely lose your shit here again, how embarrassing. LoL.

I am going to do this to prove a point. I'll sneak in and they won't get a cent from me. Unlike you I'm clever.

I loved this movie.

It had its moments, but it was a pretty shit movie overall.

Wouldn't watch it again.

I would. And I did. I'd watch it again!
