I've read much of it. TBH, I find him to be little more than a decent author. His origin for JL was rather bland, I felt, and the adaptation (JL: War) wasn’t particularly strong. I’ll admit I do love his Superman stories though (specifically his Braniac one) and would love to see him used as an “ideas man” for Superman. But even then I’d much rather see them reach out to someone like Grant Morrison or Mark Waid. Regardless, no, I’m still strongly against the notion that he would make a good overseer over the entire DCEU.

I think he'd do a better job than Snyder in the role Snyder is in. Total control? No, but a decent portion of it? Definitely.

Zack isn't the sole one responsible for the story. That's why GJ took over from the beginning.

Might be why WW doesn't look awful.

Been hearing bad things... le sigh

Reviews are all over the board. eg It has 8.2 at IMDB, while it's 32% at RT.

Still going to watch and judge for myself, was never hyped for this aside from the director, so if it's even just above average, that will be a plus for me.

IMDb isn't accurate for a long time until after a movie has been released.

Movies like this always get a bunch a ratings before it has even been seen.

There's some thing trending on Facebook about Suicide Squad fans wanting to ban RT because of the bad reviews.

Boohoo... you haven't even seen it yet. It may blow donkey balls. Just take it with a grain of salt. I know that there are some movies that have about the same rating, but I adore them, and conversely there are some movies with very high ratings that I don't care for. That's why there's a "critic" rating and a "user" rating. They are sometimes very different.

But in all likelihood the reviews are probably accurate, because with so many characters in the film there's not much chance of it being juggled well.

That petition to shut down RT........people like that are just embarrassing themselves and making the sane DC fans look bad.

hahahahahahahahahahahahah.. I'm ;laughing this film has to make $750 to $800 million to break even ... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

this is a good article, Golgo wil be in denial but the rest of you should read...

Um? Everything?

This was one if the major problems with BvS. The story was far too big for a single film.

Think that was more down to the studio tbh. Wanting to push so much in the story to kick off their DCEU.

They wanted BvS, they wanted Doomsday and they wanted the Dawn of the Justice League.

Movie by committee ftw.

I've been saying for ages WB needs to cut down their budgets on DC films. They're not going to be successful if they're all just breaking even.

In fact SS could easily Flop.

Lets stop the comparison to Marvel Phase I now. Marvel was making profit from CA1 and Thor 1 grossing 380 and 450 mill respectively. Plus their reception was incredible creating that goodwill which lead to Avengers being the biggest and most profitable superhero movies of all time.

WB on the other hand think the way to survive is just to spend more money. And they're barely surviving and not creating any goodwill with audiences.

thats what i'm saying! How would they know whether its good or not? It hasnt been shown to the public yet (well at least not to my knowledge).

A good story can work in any medium. It's the director that adapts it appropriately into live action

Stephen King does what he does as a novelist, but as a screenwriter 😬 - the best King movies were the ones he wasn't directly involved with.

Jeph Loeb was better at comics than he was as a screenwriter (which he started out as), at least early in his career.

Kevin Feige wasn't someone we knew as anyone other than a guy who worked under producer Avi Arad. He succeeded Arad with the creation of Marvel Studios. His great strength seems to be like General Eisenhower's - not a battlefield general, but a great consensus builder who can get the the top people moving in the right direction.

If DC Films truly gets it's proper Kevin Feige equivalent, they are likely a name we don't know yet.

It's the reviews by critics, who have seen it at press screenings. They are not making up negative reviews of a film they haven't seen yet.

Box office always determines, in the end. No matter how bad the reviews for Transformers sequels were, the box office just got bigger. But that's rarely the case.

We now live in a world were a movie is available to literally Billions of People to go see just because its a Weekend and got a few hours to kill. This is why BAD Movies can make Millions of dollars.

Totally F-ed Up if ya ask me.

^ And calling a bad movie sometimes is subjective.

Those numbers aren't confirmed. LA times stated the budget was 175 M. It doesn't need to do 800 to break even.

breaking even is double.
