Doubt it. Force Awakens only had like a 30% drop on its 2nd weekend.

Will see its total today. But if it drops again, it means WB did really well marketing this movie, but still failed to please audiences to the degree they wanted.

I think I read somewhere Force Awakens dropped 50% from Friday to Saturday.

Not that it matters as it went on to dominate in the end as it should have.

Star Wars>>>>>all.

It made 2 billion. It's the total numbers that ultimately matter.

Star Wars wipes their asses with DC and their pathetic cinematic universe.

Star Wars wipes their asses with Marvel, Star Trek, Happy Potter, Lord of the Rings, and on an on.

Not Marvel or Harry Potter. Trek has never been a mega success because their fanbase sucks and wants a boring franchise to re emerge.

Trek can't even match the Prequels success with China and over a decade of inflation on side 😂

Star Wars still lords over even those. Not even Marvel's best or Harry Potter were able to match up to TFA.

Though I'm not sure how we got to Star Wars from a DC film discussion.

Obviously the bigger the numbers the larger the expected drop. I mean we are talking about the biggest OW of all time with TFA. Given that it was miraculous for it to have such a small drop in its 2nd weekend.

It was simply the most anticipated movie of all time.

They are all peers. Marvel has more combined which matters. Star Wars has legions of fans as do all of these franchises. It's about the franchises not just one single movie.

You compared this to a Star Wars film drop so you brought it up. You may have memory problems.

Star Wars has always had the right film tone hence why a Star Wars guy in Abrams made Star Trek awesome. You aren't even smart enough to grasp I have always agreed with this.

Marvel's only recently become aligned with Star Wars thanks to their Disney overlords and Harry Potter is still owned by WB.

Also I think you're mistaking my post for someone else:

Disney made 2 billion and their plans seem much more grand than that slob George Lucas. Marvel has been cranking out successes for 8 plus years.

Yes, Harry Potter is amazing unlike the pitiful DC cinematic universe.

Suicide Squad is really fun and does some great things. I feel like production got rushed or something because there's a huge drop off in quality in the 3rd act, towards the ending everything feels choppy and dumb. I really loved the characters and how they were introduced.

Also

Spoiler:
doesn't the after credits scene negate what happened in BvS? Because in that movie batman gets all the info on the justice league from lex luthor's hard drives, and we get the stupid logos scenes. Now it's indicating Batman gets the information from Amanda Waller??? Also Waller knows Bruce Wayne is Batman also??? And so does lex Luther???? Is batman's identity even a secret?

I'd give this a 6.5/10

Oh, shit.

How much you gave to BvS?

Honestly I consider them in the same ball park but I would probably give BvS 5-6/10 simply because of how much I love Affleck as Batman and they did have some nice visuals in it.

On track for 135mill OW.

Given this was an unknown property, That's a success for DC films now matter how anyone wants to cut it.

Yeah his scenes were good.

The Batman and the Joker/Harley scenes were the highlights for me. The best scene being the one with the 3 of them.

Yeah I don't see any negatives in 135 million for a comic movie not having the Marvel logo on it.

IMO certain characters should have been cut so other characters could've gotten even more screen-time and development. Cut, like, that boomerang guy. Completely irrelevant. Maybe even Katana, though she was kind of cool.

Actually it's at 267 million world wide. That's more than Star Trek and that movies been out for 3 weeks.

LOL.

It was marketed by showcasing Batman, The Joker and Harley.
DC's most popular hero, and most popular villains.
Not really unknown.
