Suicide Squad

Here's hoping that Deadshot is pretty well adapted. With Will Smith, it'd be hard to really make him a hard-ass tool bag suicidal murderer. The Fresh Prince is just too god damn charming

What does the level of "bad" have to do with anything?
Im not arguing what criminals are worst lol. Or who is more bad ass or who has killed more people.

Both movies are NOT exactly the same. "Both movies have similar plots".

Yeah i was totally wrong. So is IMDB.

My apologies if its too hard to accept that what you once thought was a totally rad and original, "never been done before" concept for a film, in fact wasnt those things. 😬

👆

Because criminals=/= villains. This has been explained to you and you just choose to ignore it.

I never said it was completely original, just that it wasn't like GotG. Nice strawman tho 👆

True I mean even Scott Lang was a criminal in Ant-Man. And technically Han Solo - He was a smuggler right? But that's a typical part of the Hero's journey.

That however is very different to a film focusing on super villains, who are only fighting on the side of good because they are literally forced to. And who at best will go from being Villains, to being maybe "Bad but Not so Evil". Basically they might end up where guys like the GOTG started off.

The first studio who planned to make a super villain movie was Sony with Sinister Six which obviously never happened. So to be perfectly fair WB/DC are the first to try this one.

lol that is almost word for word the plot of GOTG

mmm

Yes, if we get into specifics , then these are different films. I never claimed they were the same.

Minus any superficial, and anal details on criminals, villains, bad person and what categories each are, etc. These 2 movies have "SIMILAR" plots., barring many differences.

Lets just agree to disagree.

Done.

😂

BTW, I love the diversity of the cast. Probably the most diverse cast in ANY comic book movie. Cudos for that.

Except the events of the film directly contradict that description. No one forced them to confront Ronan once he had the stone. Rocket even suggested running away and Quill shot him down in favor of saving the galaxy. Fat chance seeing one of the Squad looking out for anyone besides themselves. No one forced the Guardians to give the stone to the Nova Corps., but they did that too. The entire film they just did whatever they wanted to. Whatever they thought was "right". The people in the Squad are not concerned with morals, all they care about is not rotting in prison forever, and they have a gun (bomb, in this case) to their heads to keep them in line.

These are completely different situations from what we can tell so far and of course the massive contrast between outlaws/misfits/common criminals and villains makes this very unique. The Guardians have always been portrayed, from what I can tell, as heroes that are rough around the edges, like Han Solo. The Squad is like someone forcing Darth Sidious to do their bidding.

That movie has almost the same plot as SS as well.

"A group of losers are forced to work together to survive the zombie apocalypse."

Damn. DC is just copying everyone. 🙁

Careful there. you might cut yourself with all that edge.

^ People seem to think he's Slade Wilson.

ha. i could see him as Deadshot. Maybe he will kill Will Smith and take his place, sans the terrible white mask/helmet thing.
