Well they should start showing the film to critics soon if they're confident in it.

I ****ing want them to use Black Canary in a movie. But yeah a movie with Harley and Joker leading it is a dream come true for me, Id much rather see that then watch Snyder potentially botch the Justice league

well it's good that suicide squad might open up big, however bats v supes opened up big too and then completely faltered because the truth was known... hopefully this will reverse that and actually be good

iirc they were talking about a Harley movie that would, I would guess, feature mostly female characters. The BoP would be a shoe-in for something like that, I would imagine.

WB is already talking about BC in the Justice League movie. lol.

As long as she's better cast than she was in Arrow.

BVS turned a profit and if SS becomes a massive hit, then WB/DC might win the year in terms of box office.

Today at work during lunch break I was watching the Suicide Squad characters trailer and my supervisor who I'm pretty sure never opened a comic book asked me what I was watching and I told him, he then said he saw a commercial on TV and that movie looks good and he might go see it. Surprised the shit out of me.

It's not surprising at all. Suicide Squad draws a diverse crowed and the NRG numbers are huge. SS tracking is IDENTICAL to BvS around the same time period. 125-140. And we still have a few weeks to go.

^ Those BvS projections were terrible and clearly understated. I'd be really surprised if SS numbers are being understated by that amount.

Pro.Boxoffice thinks SS breaking the August record is all but GUARANTEED. If it does, remember I called this MONTHS ago.

In its second to last week of eligibility Suicide Squad did what it has been so good at doing over the past month: lead. This past week made it five in a row that the comic adaptation has led all tracked upcoming films in Twitter buzz in our weekly snap-shot. The last time it didn’t lead (it was second), was the week ending June 17 when Moana was queen thanks to its first trailer. The obvious comparison here is Deadpool which had 276,445 tweets during the same week prior to its release. The prospects for the film just keep going up and up, especially with it surpassing Deadpool last week. It’s picking a good time to surge and now an August opening record and a nine figure opening weekend is all but guaranteed.

Although, one poster I know is predicting 180 and he seems to be right a lot of the time.
