I don't know. The general reaction so far is positive. SS will open big, so let's see how the legs are in the second weekend.

Opening big is part of the problem if it isn't very good.

They could have avoided almost all of the hate by simply making a good movie, they only have themselves to blame.

It was a good movie, I'm seeing it again tonight. Most male fans made up their minds months ago, making the first trailer the most hated thing ever on YouTube (idiotic) and sinking it's rating on IMDB before it ever came out.

Suicide Squad could only wish it gets as high a rating on Rotten Tomatoes as the new Ghostbusters did (which was certified fresh.)

Correct.
It will mean more bad comic book movies flooding the market leading to more super hero fatigue like BvS caused.

So you've seen it?

I hope it is good. Pretty much all super hero movies this year was frontloaded. For the exception of deadpool.

People are using rottentomatoes to judge movies now. Lol

You can't just blame BVS. Fatigue has already set in from all the Marvel movies

Talking about Ghostbusters which has 73% on RT

Reviewers are impartial, and not swayed emotionally like fans (for the most part.) It's a good tool to see if something has true quality.

I know - it hurts to be a fan and out on an Island on something.

Captain America: Civil War absolutely refutes that assertion, critically and commercially. Try again.

It was a good movie to you, most critics and the GA disagree.

Deadpool did great at the box office and it was critically acclaimed. BvS and X-Men apocalypse were bad movies morso bvs.
This led to superhero fatigue.
Civil War was a good movie it made more than its predecessors at the box office and it was critically acclaimed.
So yes, bad superhero movies are affecting the superhero Market. And you can't blame the good superhero movies affecting the market like the bad ones do.

Civil War had shitty legs. No doubt about it. Sites like BO.com were predicting 200 M OW and it didn't live up the hype. I was referring to AOU. After that came out, all I heard from people around me was that they were tired of Marvel movies. Or that they all seemed the same. AOU was a disappointment for the studio, too.

Meh I don't fully trust critics when something like Spider-Man 3 has decent score on RT, and the last Indiana Jones movie has a Great score 😬

They are still people end of the day and can have their own bias and pre-conceived notions going into a film.

That said, I trust them more than fan rating scores which can be scewed by fanboys and haters. And I guess I trust critics to the extent where when a film has gotten a RT score of below 40% it's probably not a great movie.

AOU was bad, too. Yeah, it was rated highly on RT, but that doesn't mean it's not a shitty movie.

Yet, nearly 80% liked the movie according to Rotten Tomatoes.

Civil War had a shitty multiplier.

AOU wasn't as good as the first Avengers but it was decent. It was by no means a bad movie like bvs.
