BvS did better in most markets. Marvel boasted their ww gross at a convention, which was pretty impressive. All I'm saying is wb will break that record. DCEU will have 3 movies total that will break 100 m ow. That's impressive no matter how you slice it.

SS doing that will be impressive, I grant you that.

But BvS was a big event film starring DC's big trinity. It's silly comparing that to Iron Man or Incredible Hulk's first solo movies.

And still those early IM films sold better domestically 😬

Btw where are all the reviews?

^Rotten Tomatoes continues to be silent, though the film opens in 2-3 days in North America. That's...hmm. 😬

Meanwhile, it's got a rating of 9.3 on IMDB. Goes to show why IMDB ratings are not to be taken seriously; people stuffing the box with positive reviews of a movie that hasn't even opened yet.

the review embargo lifts at noon apparently

🙁

Embargo is already lifted. And it's very mixed to negative so far. 🙁

I'm not disagreeing with you, but my statement was correct, so...

Balls, so much for DC

Shame. DCEU films can't catch a break with critics.

IGN- 5.9 ouch!

Hitfix (Mcweeny) - B+

thats a shame

Apparently a lot of reviews are not liking Leto's Joker as well.

Rotten Tomatoes:

Only 20 reviews so far, but it's at 31% with average rating of 4.8/10. Ouch.

Will have to see how audiences react but going by this, the DCEU is not off to a good start in it's Phase I.

So from what I hear Enchantress becomes the villain?

^ Why would you tell us that without spoilers?

Why? Why?

Zack Snyder isn't directing, but he's a producer on this. What's worrying is that he's both a producer and contributed to the story on Wonder Woman as well. I hope this isn't a harbinger of things to come. I haven't even mentioned Justice League yet, which he's still 'in charge' of.

If this continues(the films sucking) it will become apparent that for the DCCU to take off, they must get completely Zack Snyder free. That is, if they want the respect that Marvel has.

Is it as bad as BvS though?

It's common sense not to keep the same director on for more than 1 or 2 movies unless they are doing an outstanding job. But at this point it's just getting ridiculous. Who decided to go make him the Kevin Feige and why would they do that?

Not as bad as BvS there's at least a modicum of luke warm reception
