I watch again the scene where Drago hits at 1850 psi. I see Drago put himself in form, concentrate, take a breath and give it his all.

If the 1850psi was his all, how did Drago manage to hit harder with his later punches?

He obviously got stronger through his training for his fight with Rocky. The training scenes clearly show Drago progressing in strength.

"Give it his all", lol no. It was little more than a simple average jab. "Giving it his all" is seen later when he punches well above his "average" of 1850psi

This Drago downplaying needs to stop, along with the racism

along with the hypocrisy eh Robbie?

His point is just as I've been saying... Hitting a stationary target is vastly different than an actual fight. Being able to stand there.. gain composure (know your target isn't moving or hitting), put your entire weight into a punch including torque your torso and legs after shooting up.. Is VASTLY different situation than a real fight. They aren't even really comparable

You're now going to argue that Drago got stronger in the few seconds/minutes between the punches? Great, then he must have gotten hundreds if not thousands of times stronger between the test and his match and thus Rocky was taking punches in the 100,000 psi range.

Thank you for proving that Rocky trained himself to superhuman levels of durability.

As usual you do not make sense. The movie did not show an increase of hundreds or thousands. He added at most I believe 300 more psi. That was still him using all his might as the scene showed an increase from 1850 to 2150.

Rocky and Drago training lasted much longer than seconds or minutes so why would I argue a point I never made or implied.

As for Rocky having superhuman levels of durability when has this ever been denied by me. I even posted within this thread where Mickey his manager in part III stated that Rocky was superhuman and had an Iron chin but started to lose it once he won the belt and was no longer hungry. Rocky having superhuman levels of durability is not new. It is something he always had throughout the movies.

You just said that 1850 was his all, but that he got stronger within a few mintues and was able to hit 2150..that would be at worst a 100 psi per minute increase according to you...well that test was a rather long time before the match, so using your math...Drago had to be hitting well at over 100,000 psi by the time of the match.

Or, you were wrong about the 1850 being his all.

Don't bother with Silent... He's never thrown a punch in anger in his life, let alone ever been inside a ring. He believes you can punch just as hard for the duration of the fight as Drago was shown doing in a set environment as he would in a actual fight.

This was my original statement: "He obviously got stronger through his training for his fight with Rocky. The training scenes clearly show Drago progressing in strength."

I never stated Drago got stronger in a few minutes. My previous response I clearly stated again that I never stated or implied that he Drago got stronger in minutes.

The movie scenes show a steady progression of strength that occur over time not minutes.

I am going to have to agree. This just doesn't make sense unless he is doing this on purpose.

To add Drago is never shown bouncing around like he does in the ring and registering 1850 or 2150 psi with a punch.

You're the one that said Drago was getting stronger by the minute, I was just following your logic.

So now Drago's 1850psi punch wasn't his average, but his max and he exponentially got stronger with each passing second?

If that doesn't say "super-human", not sure what does

edit: The film Rocky IV actually shows us that Drago is super-human when he's punching at 2,150psi, so we already have that. Rest easy people, mystery has been solved

So which lines do you believe from Apollo again Robbie? 😉

Post where I stated so. I just told you twice I never made the statement. Actually the statement is from you. Otherwise, like Robtard I accept your concession also.

The 1850 and 2150 punches were the same scene, thus this post is you saying that his strength was growing by the minute.

All of them, because I'm not a pick-n-chose racist

Silent Master hasn't conceded to me in here; I don't think he'd need too

LMAO... Good... So we can clearly see he does boast and make representations that aren't true. Glad you agree, and thus we can throw out his pre fight boasting 😉

Incorrect, Apollo wasn't lying when he said "I'm stronger and quicker than I've ever been" in Rocky IV. He just went up against a greater super-human who cheated with roids

If you think Apollo is a liar, the onus is on you

There are two scenes displaying his punching power. The first is when Drago is introduced and the Russians state that anything he hits he destroys. The next time is during his training for his match with Rocky.

So, the director shows us that through his training and drug injection his punching power has increased.
