I read it, but the statements were quite fragmented into different argumentations, from one it was saying that arab readers couldn't make any words on it, for others it's unlikely for a muslim to wear gold unless there is a certain sacred engraving to it. From the text I gathered that there wasn't any overwhelming evidence of the ring being anything of importance, and mostly that it didn't matter because Obama would've essentially commited blasphemy by openly stating he was a christian. Either he's a rather un-muslim muslim or he isn't one at all, the difference is rather irrelevant.

Maybe we should all just ignore the racist.

Anecdotal, but I've seen non-Christians with Crucifixes, non-Buddhist with Oms (usually tattoos, they're popular) and I've seen a Christian with a Star of David pendant(cos Jesus was a Jew, did you know?)
