I've played Rocket League for years, don't worry, there is no pay to win aspect to it at all. All of the cars you can unlock with money have hitboxes that are copies of free cars, so it's purely aesthetic. All cars are the same speed, the only difference is hitboxes. There is absolutely no advantage gained by spending money on the game.

The game is ridiculously fun, everyone should give it a shot. It takes time to actually get good at but it's a very rewarding feeling when you start hitting insane aerial shots.

Sounds good. 👆

This is all purely pvp right? Team based? So how's the community with newbies? Can I expect to switch off the mic until I git gewd?

He thinks every game that's free-to-play is also pay-to-win.

Good thing Trocity was here to tell it like it is, if all there was were heckle and jeckle here I probably would have given the game a pass.

Fun game too. Reminds me of the old TF2 thrill (I paid into it before it went ftp)

Now to see if I can climb the charts once again.

Those huge husk knights with the massive shields in the City of Tears only give 50 geo!

Seems awfully low, for the trouble of bringing one down. Even without "fragile greed", you're better off farming those two weak shield carrying bugs for 80 geo a trip, they go down in 3 hits each after a few nail upgrades.

Finally got one of the Dreamers. The Deepnest one, in the Beast's Lair.

Kind of, ah, anti-climatic. I figured there would be a tremendous boss battle, but not quite. The main challenge was finding my way back out again.

The Crossroads seems to have had a crossover with Gears of War, judging by those Lambent looking bugs. 🙂

After the Dreamer, decided to go flame ghost busting.

They're not too bad to fight. A little bit disappointed that they have the exact same attack patterns, but that's fine. They're just the appetizer to Grimm himself.

...after I get the gear to access the third one, apparently. Looks like I hit a wall in one of the areas.

That's Cdtm for ya.

I do have Steam, but I don't have DD on steam. I'm just gonna stick with the 360 version.
Oof, I just realized, DD shut it's servers down on 360, no more Ur-Dragon or online pawns.

Been that way for awhile now.

Two very minor things that don't affect the main campaign. There's still offline pawns, they do the job fine. And the online Ur-Dragon is just s "World Boss" with way too big a health pool that everyone chips the health away at and few people get to actually finish off, never had much interest fighting something like that.

The offline Ur-Dragon is good enough for me, if I ever want to challenge it. Which I may not.

Failed Champion next on my hit list.

He laughs at the six mask, seven notch, two nail upgrade worm before him. So did Soul Tyrant before him.

Honestly seems doable, simple attack patterns. The big issue is the hit point pool, trying to kill an end game boss with early/mid game gear is a bit like death by a thousand paper cuts.

Yes. That's the straw man of cdtm you guys have built.

Enjoy some more of your shitty games.

And in typical Cdtm attempts to insult other people's tastes in games.

If by insult, you mean recognize.

I wouldn't call him an end game boss. In fact, he's absolutely trivial if you have shade cloak and quick nail.

Whatever suits your agenda, I guess.

I do not.

The Shade Cloak would make his attacks easy, but I've yet to get it. I don't even have the Monarch wings. Just a twice upgraded nail, and seven notches to try and fit somethimg useful. I'm thinking Joni's blessing and Fragile Strength.

Under these conditions, this may actually be harder then Soul Tyrant was. Because it was EASY to heal in between attacks. Here it's damned near impossible.

Managed to get him to the second phase.

You should try this sometime. It forces you to memorize every aspect of their attack pattern and make absolutely NO mistakes. It really levels up your gaming skillz for "level appropriate" encounters.

I brought my PS3 with me to Colorado and I'm currently playing Dead Space again after a long while.

I'm still livid that EA shut down Visceral Studios.

Dead Space 3 was weak but not terrible, IMO.

We deserve a full reboot of this series.

Decided to go exploring instead, and found the Quick Slash. 🙂

Also lost 17000 Geo in that damned spiky area with the hopping things. I know you can avoid losing it all by quitting just before losing your last mask, but I was so frustrated with those hoppers I didn't give a damn.

Eh, if I gotta grind later, I gotta grind. Hopefully that bank I left Geo in that disappeared isn't really just gone..
