Liev Schreiber is a horrible pick. I do not want his sub par acting in my Kelvin universe.

He could be really well as a Klingon

do you think Liam could make Kahless be badass?or someone like him?

👆

Possible. I was thinking more of new character. Like a K'mpec-like character, but with more edge.

I'd see that

I just like how Garak tries to essentially commit genocide against the Changelings(admittedly they are shitty) and also tries to fight Worf and they are like..meh, 6 months in jail.

Wow you got from S3 to the bed of S4 in ridiculously fast time. Are you eating Trek night and day?

He was grieving after what happened to Tain. temporary insanity.

Thought it was decent. An improvement over ST: ID but still not as good as the first.

Nah at very beginning I was watching the episodes in order, but then I started skipping around, first to look for Garak episodes. But with Trek a lot of the episodes are self contained.

Just watched the one where Worf goes to find that sword, though Garak isn't in it. But Worf basically tries to murder another Klingon by getting him to drop off a cliff. Once again they are just like "meh".

Oh I also watched the episode where Worf's bro wants him to kill him. There is a creepy part where Odo gives Worf's bro a job and Worf says he is in his debt, and then right as he is leaving Odo goes "You will find I am a man who collects on his debts". Just from the look in his eyes it said to me he would murder Worf in his sleep if he didn't pay back the debt.

If you haven't seen these from Seasons 3 & 4 I'd recommend them in order:

S3:

Defiant
Destiny
Visionary
Through the Looking Glass
Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast
The Advesary

S4:

The Way of the Warrior (a must see)
The Visitor
Little Green Men
Our man Bashir
Accession
Shattered Mirror
For the Cause
To the Death
And the finale "Broken Link" which you've already seen.

You are nuts if you think this is better than Into Darkness.

As would I

Sounds like they got plans to use Carol Marcus again, Better not rehash the Project Genesis.

I am confident it will be different especially since George Kirk has been revealed as returning.

The Borg need to be introduced at some point. If the Trek movies become more serialized, the Borg can be like the whitewalkers or the thanos of the series.

The problem with the Borg is making them menacing enough without having to use massive amounts of PIS to stop them.

Just follow the model set forth by Next Generation, they did it beautifully. Also maybe what happened to Picard happens to Kirk, he gets kidnapped and assimilated??? I think it would make for amazing cinema

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Thanos let's not get nuts. I like the whitewalker comparison. I've been calling for the Borg but people like Robtard are vehemently opposed to them returning to face Kirk and Spock.

The problem then becomes how much would they actually be copying? They've already copied quite a bit from previous stuff. Continuing to do so isn't a good thing, especially if it draws poor comparisons.

I agree they shouldn't straight up copy, but explore more deeply the idea of the hive-mentality and single mindedness versus uniqueness of thought and individualism. That's the kind of thing Next Generation delved into, but in a movie it'll look so much better.

We already know though for this next movie odds are it's some time travel shtick so maybe Trek 5

As long as Star Trek 5 isn't about "god", then i'll be happy.

I would like to see the Borg explored; just do it well. Don't ruin them like Voyager did. Then again, if you subscribe to the comics, they've already fought the Borg in a sense.
