Agreed. I don't know what they were thinking.
Someone else had mentinoned Pedro Pascal for the role, he could have likely done it justice and looked more the part.
Then of course there's that ocean of Bollywood actors they could have scoured, but something about Khan breaking into dance in the middle of a climatic moment just doesn't seem right. Or does it 😄
Began watching Deep Space Nine recently. I'm up to about season 3. I'm surprised that so far my favorite character is Quark. I also like Garrak.
Though I've noticed everyone kind of thinks Quark is a piece of shit and this all around unsavory person..but whenever someone needs something from him they either threaten or blackmail him for it.

Quark and Garrak are good characters,, What do you think of Dukat? or perhaps the episode "Duet"

Yeah.I actually became a much bigger fan of both Worf and of the DS9, when he came on board.
DS9 had been a good show before that, but they really started to excel at around that point. That and when all the so-so writers ****ed off to Voyager and left Behr and RDM to their own devices on DS9. They could do what they wanted, and we got something so, so good.

Garak was and remains one of the better written characters in all of Trek.Worf really found his footing in DS9, imo. He was good when he grew his hair in TNG, but he had some huge shadows to get from out under.
👆
It helps that they gave him much more to do, so we got to see far more of him as a person. TNG was more diverse in its episodes than TOS was, but DS9 was even more diverse than TNG. Almost everyone got a chance to shine regularly.

The early years Worf wasn't anything special, little more than an ancillary character. Once Tasha was gone and the hair grew, he really started to grow in TNG. DS9 he was free to find his own footing on fresh terrain.
