Lol...what are you expecting him to do? He's doing what he tends to do against every opponent. Wait, you want him to punch Goku a trillion times in .1 second. You're flashy. He has been countering all of Vegeta and most of Goku moves and delivering attacks they can't see coming while at the same time appearing as if he is vanishing off of the battle field.
The fights are good and the scenes are being explained. Just because hit isn't doing a trillion hits within this time doesn't take away from what is explained.
Dragonball and Akira writing isn't made for everyone. Some people prefer fts in every issue and some look at it for the entertainment. If Hit would've slapped Goku a hundred times within that second, you all still would've complained saying that is nothing. Take what is given to you. That ability is crazy Hax for someone with Hit speed. As stated in the issue, .1 second is nothing but add in hit speed, it's insane.

What you said is spot on and it's actually a reason that sometimes it's the fans themselves that can ruin a show. Some study it religiously so they can either completely overestimate a feat or can completely underestimate one.
I liked the show for the fight scenes, but not specifically for the feats themselves. Fights from Dragonball can be just as entertaining as current fights.

If going by Akira's mentioning that he doesn't plan to have the saiyans surpass the gods, not sure how I would feel about another transformation that's stronger than super saiyan red but somehow still inferior to Beerus.
But if we have to have another one, I wouldn't mind a unique kind of cool and flashy design like SSJ3.
